PlayStation has more to reveal, even after a packed week of announcements, ranging from PC ports to a new VR headset. This State of Play live stream will cover 10 games headed to the PlayStation platform, over the course of a 30-minute show. You can catch it live on PlayStation's YouTube channel, or you can tune into this thread to see all the announcements covered live.

Crash 4 is headed to the PS5 with some new enhancements, such as 3D audio, adaptive triggers, and 4K60fps. March 12, 2021.

Returnal gets another look. Every time you die, the map changes.

Knockout City is a team-based action game that was announced during a Nintendo Direct. There's a 1v1 mode. The main mode is 3v3. Maps will have unique setpieces. It launches this May, after having been in development for four years.

Sloclap is making a game where you use martial arts in Sifu, launching 2021. Will release on PS4 and PS5.

Solar Ash gets a second look, following its debut in the June Showcase. This is being developed by the Hyper Light Drifter team. It's a 3D adventure platformer. It will be available on both PlayStation 4 and 5 later this year.

Insanity prevails in Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, hitting later in 2021. We get a light gameplay trailer.

Oddworld Soulstorm is next. "2.9D" platforming. Abe can now scavenge items to build weapons for himself and his allies. There's an option to kill enemies or play as a pacifist. April 6th.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits gets the spotlight again with a new trailer. Ember Lab's game, though it faced a delay last year, Launches August 14, after showing off both its story and some gameplay.

Arkane's Deathloop gives us an extended trailer. Assassinate your targets and even if you die, you keep trying by going back in time.

We're ending on Final Fantasy VII Remake.

Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade releases June 10, 2021. It's an episode featuring Yuffie. You'll play as her. PS5 exclusive.

FFVIIR will also see a major graphics upgrade on PS5. A new difficulty mode has been added, load times are far better, there's a graphics or performance option, and a photo mode. The PS5 upgrade will be free for those who own the game on PS4.

Yuffie being locked to PS5 is a supreme dick move. They kept us waiting for over a decade to see FF7R happen in the first place and now we're essentially being told the version we have won't cut it, we need an entire new console just to access the DLC. I'm sure all the YouTubers like Maximillion Dood currently spooging all over the trailer have no problem getting a PS5. But for those of us who spent most of the last 12 months on furlough or worse? Even if I had the money for a PS5 and could in any way justify using that money for such a frivolous purchase given that it has nothing of note yet, where in the hell would I even get one? From a scalper for 8 times its actual value? I don't mind dropping 15/20 quid on Episode Yuffie. Asking me to spend nearer 2 grand is just ridiculous. I say make the DLC free for anyone who upgraded to the PS5 edition, paid DLC for any who remain on PS4.

Everything else announced, a big pile of meh. Some things that rank as 'looks okay, might pick it up in a sale years from now'. Nothing that makes my pants tight. With any luck the big Pokemon event in a few hours will be better, but I doubt it.

I do actually, looks interesting enough. I wouldn't pay more than maybe $20 for it, but it's free with PS+ so that's irrelevant. Convenient that so many games which are EGS exclusive on PC are given away on PS5.

hmm, shame that Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade won't be on PS4 and only on PS5,

is that confrimed that it'll be ps5 exculsive?

which means that whoever does not have a ps5 can't access this extra DLC content,

im not on ps5 and it is not nessary for me to get one ATM and it is rather exp to do so,
the disk edtion is 500euros, lol.

this ps4 phat edit (500gb) i got in 16 was at 340 euros and it had no games.

Not that it looks bad but they're showing this game much more than it should. Deathloop, they did that with The Pathless... I want to see new games! I have this system here (well these systems) I want next gen already!!

I mean Nintendo had awesome titles announced, Skyward Sword HD, Splatoon 3, Triangle Strategy, Mario Golf. The rest was ok... well I was right holding out on buying Hades because I'm a physical guy.

They have 80 million consoles now in the wild, they sold 30 million Animal Crossing, they're killing it! Sony needs to come out guns blazing!! I want new IPs I want to see new games. Ok Horizon and God of War are coming... I want new things! What we have now is more and more people leaving Sony and MS buying studios and not showing anything new... Nintendo is still pushing out nee titles ad abselutely dominating sales. (I manage a game store and Switches are still HOT)

Anyway it's early and it's still troubled times!

I'm not a Battle Royale guy, I mean I'm over 30... so it's clearly not for me but the gameplay didn't look too bad! I mean swords, magic, chocobos, robots, it's clearly FFVII hahaha! They're milking it.

Fair enough. I'm still working my through a lot of PS4 games with the new upgrades, but I know not everybody bought into the PS4 late in its lifecycle like I did. Cleared most of the PS5 exclusive stuff pretty quick. Demon's Souls is pretty short compared to the Dark Souls games, but fantastic nonetheless. As is Astro's Playroom. I still gotta play Spider-Man: Miles Morales after I finished Spider-Man Remastered already, but I hear that's short too.

I have few games in my backlog but nothing too time consuming. I'm playing PS1 with my Xstation I installed a few month back while we wait for more games!! Returnal looks ok, I might only borrow one for work though.
