Glad I decided to check back in after all this time, and happy to see you started back on the project, looks like some of my input was able to help.

Did you ever get yours to fit right? I would be happy to send you the new version. I even have some yellow filament since I believe your PS2 is yellow.

Nope, never got it to really fit unfortunately. And sure you can send one if you'd like, black or yellow is fine(might not use it on the yellow system, don't want to risk stripping the threads). Thanks!

I'm not too surprised. The changes were not insignificant. PM me your address and I will send you the updated version.

Hi Daoxer, I went to buy this mod on eBay but with UK import tax (on items over £15, apparently) and shipping the price almost doubles to north of $60. I could get a modded ps2 slim and solve the noise issue that way for that amount. Would it be possible to supply just the printed piece and I'll supply my own fan or something? No worries if not.

Thanks!

PM me and we will see what we can figure out for you. Operating outside of ebay can give us a few more options.

One new customer had an issue with installing this kit. For those interested this was a very early SCPH-30001 model where the bottom half of the housing is one big single piece. There is no separate panel for the fan, so it simply can't be replaced. These early model SCPH-30001 models are pretty easy to identify by having 10 screws on the bottom versus the more typical 8 screws on nearly every other model of PS2 fat.

For those of you with the kit, I'd love to get some reviews on Amazon. It would just take a minute and would really help me out. Thanks guys!

Thank you to all who have ordered our kit! We recently sold out on our initial batch of kits we made up. We are hoping to have more kits in stock soon. Just waiting on Noctua fans.

The fan kits are back in stock, and we are assembling more kits as I type this out. The new stock has a slightly new look. I hope you guys like it.

I just installed one of these but the fan won't ever go on, whether it's idle, in the browser, or in a game. Put my old OEM fan back in and it still works, so I don't think my system is the issue. I'm using a 50001 NTSU-U model if that makes a difference. Anyone have any solutions for this? Did I just happen to get a bad fan?

Are you sure that it's not working? Take a look at the back to see if it's spinning. I initially thought that it wasn't working because it was so quiet. ;)

Yeah I'm positive. I tried letting the game run for awhile to see if the fan would kick in eventually, but it never went on. Had the system out in the open where I could easily see it not spinning.

However the fan itself works in my computer, so I'm guessing the fault is in the little adapter that connects it to the PS2 board. Is this the part that was wired incorrectly? Maybe I got an extra one from the bad batch last year?

Hello Kyle. Thanks for posting your issue. As I mentioned in our other messaging I agree and think its the adapter. We'll send you out a new one that has been tested and known to work.

Did I mess up? I installed the fan mod and all is well, but the network adapter is being slightly pushed out. It all works, but I'm a wee bit nervous. Pics. I have a 3000 with 8 screws. Also, I just found out that the fan doesn't come on when the hdd starts.

Hello NEO117. I believe we already communicated via other channels, but I'll reiterate for others viewing the thread. Yes, that is installed incorrectly. The top edge should tuck up into a groove on the top shell of the PS2. That'll move the mod more flush with the case and allow the adapter to install properly.
