Following an earlier court case in the UK to block Team Xecuter domains on local ISPs, today Nintendo received two injunctions in Spanish courts to block Switch related piracy domains at local ISPs. The affected ISPs are Telefónica, Telefónica Móviles, Orange, Vodafone, Vodafone ONO and Xfera Móviles. The injunction compels these ISPs to block access to the following domains:

  • team-xecuter.com
  • sx.xecuter.com
  • team-xecuter.rocks
Furthermore, Nintendo received a second injunction, compelling the aforementioned ISPs to block access to two domains which alledgedly provided downloads to pirated Nintendo software.

When asked for a statement, Nintendo responded:

“Each of the websites blocked in both procedures causes significant economic and reputational damage to all those developers and publishers of video games for Nintendo Switch consoles,” the company says.

“Nintendo initiates these actions not only on its own behalf, but also on behalf of the more than 2,000 video game developers who depend on legitimate Nintendo Switch video game sales for their livelihood.

“Nintendo encourages and encourages development and creativity, and strongly supports developers who legitimately create new and innovative software,” Nintendo concludes.

Team Xecuter website has been blocked for quite a while, at least 6-8 months.

VPN works fine, but I can't see much reason to access the website, other than the initial activation, since SX seems pretty much dead by now.

I might need to get a vpn, but I don't know much about them. I usually just use a private tracker or usenet. I haven't gotten an email about downloading for years.

I haven't modded my Switch and I don't think I will. What with all these roadblocks and it just doesn't seem that interesting

I don't plan to mod my switch either, not because of the roadblocks though, but because I'm afraid that if I mod it, I won't play the system. one of my problems with hacking or exploiting a system has always been downloading a bunch of games, then not playing them, since there's no obligation to. the only system I play other than the switch are the minis/classics or the wii u. I play the wii u daily in fact, but it's almost always the same four or five games. I'm not even really sure why I hacked it, because half of those games were actually bought digitally.

I personally don’t support these mod chips. It will destroy so much upcoming games from other developers. Hope nintendo can ban these companies permanently from selling the chips.

Yeah, since they aren't behind a firewall like China, I'd think just changing your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1 would render their blocking moot.
