Diamond And Pearl Remakes leaked for 2021, reveal plans uncovered.

The 25th anniversary of Pokémon will not be limited to the games of the main series. New Pokémon Snap will be released on April 30 and Katy Perry will collaborate with the company producing a theme song, along with other guest artists. They also plan a new show "Legends", of which more information should be revealed in the future."

Seems like a safe bet even if this is an unconfirmed rumor. I imagine this will continue to increase the SwSh Pokedex along with it considering they must be on the same engine. And I bet before we know it, the full pokedex will be in the games, and people's biggest problem with Sword and Shield will finally be behind them. Thank god, because the lack of a full dex is far from Pokemon's biggest sin. Time to shed light on the real problems of the series.

I would hold your breath on the expanding part. Since when interviewers asked about the gen 4 remakes during a SwSh interview post pokemon removal. One of the questions was essentially, would they be building off SwSh roster. And they wouldn't give a straight answer.
In other words, we could possibly be looking at where one game has a set of accessible Pokemon. and the next game has a completely different list, scrapping out the ones from the previous game.

I'm not saying that D&P will have the full SwSh dex, but I am saying that the additions to the dex in D&P will almost certainly get carried over to Sw and Sh via an update, considering the large update expansions the dex has already seen. It seems incredibly obvious to me that the full dex will eventually be in those titles, and Game Freak delaying the full extent of the dex over various updates was done in a way to try and keep players excited and invested. I don't think it was a great plan, but I can see what they were trying to do.

I've played leafgreen to death and love it, I just want a current day remake lol
