This won't fully prevent brick. Just using ChoiDojourNX is enough to get brick. If you can, use official updater or Daybreak with atmosphere. If you cannot, make full raw backup to fat32 card and update. If it will brick your switch, restore backup and update again. And do that until it will work. :P

You shouldn't use exFAT at all (even for normal use) as it's been known to become corrupt. I've had numerous issue with exFAT and since using FAT32 I've never had another file system issue. With exFAT, I would have issues loading the CFW periodically.

However the future of SX OS is uncertain as key members have been arrested and while they pushed an update for 11.0, they still have not made one for 11.0.1. This is weird because not only would it be easier to develop an update for 11.0.1 compared to 11.0 but different programmers were involved with the update for 11.0. That being said, you can disable AutoRCM with ChoiDujourNX if you really don't want to use it even though it is arguably one of the best tools of CFW. However you should still choose the exFAT option as having exFAT support is objectively better than not having it.

I believe that sx os nand backup auto splits it into 4GB segments either way. Please double check using a computer by checking the SD card Properties.

I just to verify without a doubt that your SD card is definitely formatted as FAT32 and not exFAT first. Please attach a screenshot of the SD card properties using Windows/Mac.

Edit: The OS should still fully boot even if it can't read the SD card. Have you tried booting Stock without SD card?

Does the Stock system read the SD card?

EDIT: If it boots stock then there is nothing wrong with the Nand. When I would get a black screen with SX OS it was because my SD card was formatted as exFAT. Once I formatted it as FAT32 I had no issues. Can you use an android app to check the SD card format?

With SX OS, are you booting sysNAND or emuNAND from the SD card?

EDIT: Also please use the EDIT button to add stuff. When you double post it adds unnecessary strain on the server plus people who get notifications from this thread will get a new one every time you post a reply to your previous post.

should i go boot sx menu uncheck enable emunand first then poweroff ... then re-enable emunand again see if it can boot cfw emunand?

I still want to verify that the SD is in fact FAT32 and not exFAT. Can you install an app on your tablet to check the format of the SD card. I still believe this issue is the SD is exFAT formatted as that is the only time I ever had issues booting SX OS.

Can you use the SX OS options to boot hekate as a payload? You should be to see the file system of the SD card under SD info.

https://github.com/CTCaer/hekate/releases
will report later

i start thinking if i do all over start again

it wont be too hassle

since i install game on sd card not in emu nand

i should be able to replace the clean emunand with my correct emunand

then everything should be fine again start with 10.1.0?!

keep game and savedata before i do update this wrong 10.2.0?
