Nintendo has quietly delisted over 250 DSiWare games from the North American 3DS eShop

Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Bros. 35 won't be the only games Nintendo delists in 2021. It seems that DSiWare games are vanishing from the eShop without any warning. More than 250 DSiWare games, including Shantae: Risky's Revenge, Mighty Flip Champs, and more have been delisted and are no longer available to buy. While the DSi Shop was previously shut down in 2017, users could still purchase these DSiWare titles on the Nintendo 3DS line of systems. Currently, this appears to be impacting the North American eShop specifically, as the European and Japanese versions still have most of their library intact for now.

It's not time for 3DS servers to be switched off, the time will never come until there is a valid replacement which the switch isn't. Been enjoying the crap out of MK7 again lately & the servers are very much alive and well
Have you realized that Nintendo has opted for mobile games?

Literally almost anyone has a smartphone nowadays. It's easier for Nintendo to release "portable" games via Smartphone than spending money creating a new portable console.
Besides, the Switch Lite is literally that, a replacement for the 3ds... Or do you seriously think they removed the docking function just because they can?

I recently bought some DSiWare titles (Crystal Monsters, Paper Airplane Chase and Art Style BOXLIFE) and to be honest I was not expecting this to happen... RIP to those games...
At least Shantae is still available on Switch and whatnot, and sometimes when it's on sale it's cheaper than the DSi version!

Yes, is a crappier 3DS due reasons but yes.

Nothing lasts forever, the Gameboy Color lasted only a few years compared to the Decade of the Gameboy/Gameboy Pocket.

The GBA also didn't last long.

We got almost a decade (or a decade, depends on what you are counting) of the 3DS.

Just accept it, it was not a bad decade, save for 2020.

You could hack the 3DS, unless you are on the latest firmware is quite easy.

And you still can play those games if you downloaded them.

DSiWare on Switch? Imagine.
It would be cool to think about but considering how weird the Switch form factor would be for DS games and the fact that most DSiWare games aren't terribly notable I highly doubt it would happen

Imagine the outrage if Nintendo only adds DSiWare, instead of GB/GBC, GBA, GameCube, N64 and Wii to Online services.
