Microsoft is delaying the launch of EA Play games on Xbox Game Pass for PC

You've seen EA and Microsoft delay games before, but have you seen a delay of already-launched games? Microsoft has announced that the lineup of EA Play games that were set to release on Xbox Game Pass this month has been pushed back to sometime in 2021. While already available on Xbox consoles for no extra cost to Ultimate members, Microsoft says it still needs a little extra time before they can launch EA Play through Xbox Game Pass for PC.

We established this partnership with Electronic Arts because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities discover great games, and we knew we could provide a great experience for members by working together. In order to deliver on that, we need more time to provide the Xbox Game Pass experience.

Eh, presumably there's some licensing issue that cropped up or something on EA's end I suspect. Not a big loss, really, Gamepass already has a ton of great stuff on it, no EA trash for a couple more months isn't going to be that big a deal. Still just nice they're going along with it in the first place lol.

Mass Effect Trilogy, the first two Dead Space games, Titanfall, Star Wars Fallen Order, and a few others.

I really got to get around to the KOTOR games at some point...
I am more of a Sims and a Need for Speed Kinda guy.

I would assume you are more than likely correct, even if it's not a licensing issue it's most likely a problem with EA (because fucking EA right?)

Back on the licensing thing though. It really does upset me that their aren't more 'Xbox" Games on PC. Even if not on Game Pass just the option to purchase them through the Microsoft Store would be Awesome. Like for example, I would love to play the Remakes of RE 2 and RE 3 on my pc as well as have it link to my Microsoft account with achievements and stuff.

What does ea play have of worth anyway?
Mostly tons of cool classic oldies: Mirrors Edge, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Skate, Medal of Honor, Crysis, etc. Also a good range of popular multiplayer games, such as Battlefield and Titanfall. An admirable selection for the price, and Fallen Order is a nice bonus:)

Remember when Nintendo announced that Super Mario Bros 3. was coming to Virtual Console on Wii U in August 2013 and it came out in April 2014

me neither

"because they are as passionate as we are about helping people and communities"

Damn, that's the darkest, twisted, emptiest lie I have seen in my life. And I have been through some shit.

Called it.

That being said, f#ck them for not doing anything against Scalpers.

I think the stores are the problem. If you know people are going to scalp online you should only do in store only to make sure evreyone is getting a fair chance. Limit 1 per person but to stores $$$ is $$$ as long as people are buying them they dont care.

Nintendo Switch went through it in the summer time. I mean for the PS5/Series-X $500 isn't "expensive" but there will be better bundles next year and the years to come

A bit surprising considering how close it was to the partnership launching on the PC end. I'm enjoying the EA Play benefits in Game Pass on Xbox and any value add that people can get is always good. Saved me from spending money on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order to check that out.

A bit of a shame as I was planning on playing Fallen Order over Christmas. But not the end of the world. Plenty of other games to play instead.

What's wrong with Dead Space 3?
