Hello everyone! I have softmodded the vWii of my wii u so i can record wii and gamecube games with el gato game capture (project m and melee). The problem is that every time i try to run a wii game on Usb Loader GX r1272 it kicks me back to the homebrew channel. I have inserted the usb on port 0 and the game appears on the usb loader but no matter how many times i try to start the game is the same issue, the same with other wii games. I have checked the site for the same issue but most of threads that had this problem, they all appear to be for the old wii. I have overwritten the cios as the definitive wii u hack guide states, i have tested my usb's with my old wii and they work as they should. Also, i been trying to install d2x v8 final on slot 249 base 56 version 21008 but it fails same with v10 d2x-v10-beta52-vWii version 65535. It doesn't overwrites the cios it stays the same. I just want to record project m matches with my friends because the replays don't work.

Your sysCheck is ok.:)

Would you be so kind and give us a little more Informations please ?

- which Type/Kind of USB "Device" please ?
(maybe avoid USB Stick/Flash Drive/Pen Drive/Thumb Drive and so on..please try an HDD instead)
- how is it formatted please ?
(FAT32 is a"good" Choice"....)
- Games correctly transferred with the WiiBackupMananger ?
(I am pretty sure you have checked the Games/ISOs of correctness...)
- have you maybe tried an older Revision from the USBLoader GX Version ? (r1268 or r1271 are a good Choice too..)

Thank you.:)

I have used 2 usb flash drives, one is a SanDisk cruzer glide 64 GB and the other is a 16 GB PNY. Both of them formatted to FAT32 and both of them work on my regular wii. Seeing your comment about using an hdd, i guess i have to buy one just to see if it works.

Also, i have use old revisions of usb loader gx but the old revisions don't load my usb's, and also i cant seem to save the settings on usb loader gx old revisions to use ios 58 to find the usb's it stays lock in ios 249.

Unfortunately the vWii Mode on the Wii U and Wii are not the same when it comes to the USB Power Supply Topic.
When it is working on the Wii then that does not mean automatically it works on the Wii U too.:(

Did you maybe have tried an other USB Port too please ?
Please try IOS 58 if you want try another Loader IOS for the USBLoader GX.

A Christmas Carol. xmas_wink.gif

On the Second Decemberday.....something happened.something that was very common and not unusal.
USB "Devices" not detected and Games that send you back to the Homebrew Channel.
What should I say ? :(
Please avoid USB Sticks/Flash Drives/Pen Drives/Thumb Drives and these Kind...?
And maybe try an HDD (with Power Supply and Y-Cable) ?

I do not know,I start to doubt these recommendations are "senseless"...nobody is listening to @Cyan or any other Users.
The Wii and Wii U Section is full with this Threads.

The Thing is,it can be simple:
USB Sticks/Flash Drives/Pen Drives/Thumb Drives have Issues when it comes to the WRITE Cycle and can fail without Warning or cause the "Send you Back" Thing.

Here is a nice Christmas Message with Love and Peace:

Please avoid USB Sticks/Flash Drives/Pen Drives/Thumb Drives and these Kind for the USBLoader(s)......
Please use always HDDs with Power Supply and Y-Cable for the vWii Mode on your Wii U.

Have a peaceful and very nice Christmas Time, fellow Wii and vWii Users.
Thank you.:)

Thank you Alexander. Also, I'm sorry about not knowing about the usb power supply, I'll buy an HDD with a Y cable to see how it goes.
You will see,it makes much more Fun for both Consoles (Wii and vWii).:)

Also,Christmas is coming and maybe Santa Claus (I think he is also called in Mexico.:D) has the HDD as Present for you.

Thank you.:)

It works with the Y cable :yay:, it took 3 months to get it because of the pandemic but it was totally worth it. Thank you Alexander y Feliz Navidad 3 months late xd.
