So I am currently running Hekate 5.3.3 and Atmosphere 0.14.4 on Emunand using (I think?) a hidden partition. Switch firmware is 10.2.0. This is a launch model, unpatched Switch. I've been trying to figure this out for a few days, so I figured I'd reach out and see if anyone else has any ideas.

So I upgraded from a 512 GB SD card to a 1 TB SD card. I used h2testw.exe as I always do to confirm that the 1 TB card is legit; and it is. I used HDD Raw Copy Tool to save an image of the 512 GB SD card, and then used the same program to write the image to the 1 TB SD card.

After that, I used MiniTool Partition Wizard to copy the hidden partition to the very end of the unallocated space on the 1 TB card. Then I deleted the old hidden partition. Then I expanded my main storage to take advantage of all the unallocated space.

Here's the thing - the Switch totally boots and works fine from here. I have no problems booting it, playing games, etc. etc. But if I try to install (a SELF ripped) .nsp through Goldleaf 0.8, the entire Emunand becomes corrupted. I get stuck in the Homebrew Menu, unable to exit back to Horizon's Menu - when I reboot to payload, and then try to reboot the system, *that's* when I'm told the Emunand is corrupt.

Any ideas? I hope someone here is a miracle worker, lol. I just wanted more space. =(

If it helps to add - I use a second Switch to do the ripping through nxdumptool. The Switch I'm trying to get the 1 TB card working on has the gamecard reader disabled.

Just tried installing one of my older, definitely-successfully ripped .nsp's and it corrupted again. So at least now I think I can rule out the .nsp's having anything to do with the problem.

The switch probably isnt well optimised to run 1TB sd cards,
But it is also beyond me what you could do with 1TB of extra space, the average switch game is less than 4gb. Even minus homebrew/ubuntu, your not going to be playing 200 switch games at once.
Doesn’t it ever occur to you that youve spent more on data storage than the price of your switch lols.
All you can do is change to FAT 32, or revert to your old SD if that fails.
In all honesty though If you somehow fill your switch with 200 nps you will probably use 10% of those.
