Humble is offering a collection of discounted VR titles in its latest bundle

If you're looking to get a VR headset later this holiday season, or you've already got one, then you might be interested in the latest Humble Bundle. The Fall VR Bundle offers some well-received virtual reality games that haven't gone on much of a discount yet, including Creed: Rise to Glory, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, I Expect You to Die, and more. At the time of writing, the current beat the average price is $15.69. while $17 will net you all of the games. The Fall VR Bundle is set to last for a little less than two weeks, so you've still got time to decide. If you are interested, don't forget that you can adjust the amount that charities, publishers, and Humble itself receive from your payment.

Um...

...is the Steam Index for sale? If I get out of debt by the end of this month, and I haven't been shown the door at my current job, it's the headset I'm aiming for atm!
Nope
But it just got back in stock. It's been out of stock a lot this year. Makes sense since it's currently best headset aside from price.

As for le sale
The majority of the games in that bundle are actually really good- I don't recall Humble Bundle generally putting many good games in most of their bundles, so that surprises me.

Sadly I don't use VR because everything but Google Cardboard is just too expensive to play like.... the three games I really care about.
I don’t think you can actually do anything with google cardboard besides mobile App Store apps-
But uh
There’s ways to make DIY versions of those headsets-
All you need is
Cardboard
And whatever people use for the lens

Technically any smartphone could be turned into a cheap VR headset. In práctice they want to sell VR equipment not having people using cheaper alternatives.

Oh yeah you could use stuff like iVRy-
Or the other one

Those work fine
But a lot of games don’t support them-
For example
I don’t think any of the games in this bundle would work

yeah nabbed this yesterday, already had a few of the games, but its a good bundle for the price, quite a few decent VR games, definitely worth getting If you're planning to get a VR, VR games generally don't go on sale very often

as for vr headsets the vive is pretty good and if you don't mind going used they are pretty affordable, and honestly I think I prefer the vive controllers over the valve index, there isn't that much use for the finger tracking stuff and the vive controllers just feel a bit more natural to me (that could ofc be just because I was using the vive for so long before switching), that said the index headset is a decent amount better picture quality, but I can honestly say I don't think its worth 3x the price, I ended up selling my index when they were going for super inflated prices during the first lockdown, I aim to get another one at some point, but for typical usage the vive is good enough for me for now

It's not. The hp reverb G2 is way way better and only for around 600-700 euro

I bought the original Rift + Touch a bit cheaper than what they are selling the Quest 2 right now :P
Anyways, its fucking great and will be good for a few more years!
I'm lucky i bought it at just the right time and price.
Nowadays the best bang for your bux to get into VR is the Quest 2 even thought there's this whole FB thing . . .
Honestly i didn't think VR was so great until i got my own real VR setup (not a phone in your face cardboard crap lol).
Glad to see VR getting more traction coz the potential for it is huge and i think it might become mainstream and a lot less expensive in the next 5-10 years at most.
Having things like VR humble bundle shows things are headed the right way!

I tried to use some of the alternatives like using a phone and adapting multiple solutions to have a 6 degrees of freedom for the controllers and it always is super buggy. I ended up buying an oculus quest 2 and the experience is night and day.
