Hacking Pokemon Soul Silver black screen freeze on r4i-sdhc

Hi y'all! So I've been obsessing over trying to get Pokémon soul silver to work properly on my r4i-sdhc flashcard on my N3DSXL without random black screen freezes. So what happens is that the game freezes when loading something, like battles, entering buildings etc, while the music is still playing in the background. I've tried an AP patched ROM, I've tried a clean ROM and I've tried AP patching the ROM myself but nothing seems to be working out. I've also formatted my sd card with as formatter with the overwrite option, but no luck there either. I'm using YSmenu kernel on my flashcard btw. I am honestly at my wit's end here.
UPDATE: I think I found out the reason for freezing. I have been using the usrcheat.dat from DeadSkullzJr's post here on gbatemp, and today I've been playing without it and no more freezing, hurray! The codes I've been using were widescreen, 100% catch rate and speedup v2. I've notified Deadskullzjr on this and I hope he can fix this soon. I'll update this post when this issue has been fixed to help anyone out there struggling.

Check if your flashcart's microSD card is fake, faulty, or dying.

1. Copy everything off the SD card to a computer.
2. Quadruple reformat.
3. Full Write + Verify the empty card in H2testw. Do not skip.

So the verification is done and there were no errors. Im going to test Soul Silver and see if it freezes now and ill be reporting back here. I swear if it crashes again....

Is your copy of Pokemon - SoulSilver (EUR) a clean rom dump?

• Install 7-Zip and right mouse click the *.nds rom → CRC SHA. Compare the CRC-32 hash.

Is your copy of Pokemon - SoulSilver (EUR) a clean rom dump?

• Install 7-Zip and right mouse click the *.nds rom → CRC SHA. Compare the CRC-32 hash.

I'm using the www.r4i-sdhc.com one and I've tried a bunch of ROMs, but the one I'm using now is an AP patched one. I'll compare the hash in 15mins and report back.

If the v1.10 clean dump rom (968CDE08) doesn't work, look into patching it yourself.

So the ROM I'm using has the crc32 D8EA6090. It's a US rom that is AP patched by Rudolph.

Some of the newer flashcarts have built-in AP bypass where if you play a AP-patched rom, that copy of game goes back to triggering the anti-piracy measure.

There is a bad rom dump of this game floating around the Internet.

Take note that the EU and US versions of this game are technically the same per serial code (NTR-IPGE-USA).

What model is your www.r4i-sdhc.com flashcart as listed in their Product page? Is yours very old or an outdated one?

If you have up to US $20 to spare and wouldn't mind buying a replacement DS flaschart, check my signature. Get the R4i Gold 3DS Plus if you can wait when it's back in stock and if it's within your budget. R4iSDHC series could work too, but I don't recommend that one unless one absolutely can't spend more than they can afford. I also listed the Ace3DS Plus, but I think that model has been known to have problems playing SoulSilver.

The speedup cheat was the issue, so just disable the cheat and play away.

I'm having the exact same problem with Pokémon HG on my R4i Gold 3DS Plus and I'm not using any cheat, and it's a copy that I've played and beaten before without any problems using the same flashcart and the same SD card (SanDisk Ultra 16GB microSDHC UHS-I Class 10). Any more input on what this may be?
