I have historically softmodded several Wii's for friends and family , though only to run native wii games via USB . However I recently got interested in the VC (SNES/NES/GSX) but , am having some strange issues with some of the games when moving them to the SD Card (They run fine from NAND) . Some work , some dont , they either run just fine , or get a black screen or "This channel Cannot on this console"

It was my nephew's birthday , so decided to get him a Wii. I updated wii to 4.3 , then I did the Letterbomb Hack , installed Homebrew , Prii loader , then Updated All CIOS as suggested using modmii, as suggested by the se7ensins guide ("updating your softmodded wii ")
I insted the VC game Wads via MultiModManager (13.4) , Not sure Which CIOS should be selected , so had just been using 249, not sure if this is right though ?

Most games would not run , so I installed the V80 CIOS fakesign as suggested on other forums but , this made no difference, I tried selecting it during WAD install but also made no difference

USB loaders work just fine, both wiiflow and USB-loader GX, I can run Native Wii ISO's just fine .

I can install and Move all game Wads but , problem occurs once installed on the SD

Attached is my SysCheck , shows all the CIOS on the Wii in question . Any advice is appreciated .

Thanks

Have u tried installing them to an emulated nand? This way u can even get them loaded via USB loader gx or directly through "(s)neek"

Edit: oh, and judging by your syscheck you are missing bootmii installed as ios

Thanks for your reply That's a very interesting question 'Emulated Nand' , is this a better option ? And if so how is it best deployed , I understand SNEEK is the way to go , rather than loading USB loader GX ?

Sneek or uneek from the sd card or usb respectively. Create a nand through features, add the location to it, install wads to that nand. You'll have to build the Sneek files.

I vaguely understand, sorry its been a while since I learned something new .... So do I use both or either Uneek/Sneek?
Can I store the VC WADS on the SD and Wii ISO's separate on HDD , or do I have to pick either USB or SD for both Wii and VC wiiware?
