keep 5.4.6 and just replace the boot.dol with 5.4.7 beta version.

for anyone using tetsuo's plugin pack you need v5.4.7 beta or higher because he has more than 128 plugins in his pack and 5.4.6 and below can only handle 128 or less. 5.4.7 allows up to 254 plugins.

this may fix your problem.

I updated to 5.4.7 beta version now, but now there is another issue.. when chosing SNES or any other Source, the wii freezes. Is this a cIOS issue now instead or?

EDIT: I removed all caches from previous aswell, still no luck.

try deleting wiiflow_lite.ini.
delete the usb:/wiiflow/cache folder
then run wiiflow.

and no it doesn't have anything to do with a cios.

maybe now that you have 5.4.6 with the 5.4.7 beta you should do a clean reinstall of tetsuo's plugin pack, source menu, and rhapsodii shima theme.

most likely your source menu and/or plugins are f'd up because from using 5.4.6. and the changes you made.

Could be. I guess I have no choice then. When I entered Source Menu Setup > Set plugin ROMs path everything freezes instantly aswell. Feelslike the paths have messed up.

Start fresh, If still not any Luck it will be your cios. Had me losing my MIND for days. I was in the exact same position. WiiFlow & USB Loader really didn't like Beta 53 on my Wii. Ton of crashing and kicking straight back to Homebrew/System Menu.

WiiMednafen is a nice alterative but imo RA and GX are superior.

Just a friendly heads up @Ripster, being a little complex changing the rom dir/cover dir etc will open lots more opportunities for fails in paths etc. @Tetsuo Shima has really organised everything perfectly so imo there's no need to change anything. That's up to you obviously, just making it a little more harder for yourself. This is why I started fresh. My SD has never looked neater.

Just a friendly heads up @Ripster, being a little complex changing the rom dir/cover dir etc will open lots more opportunities for fails in paths etc. @Tetsuo Shima has really organised everything perfectly so imo there's no need to change anything. That's up to you obviously, just making it a little more harder for yourself. This is why I started fresh. My SD has never looked neater.

Aye, I restarted aswell now withot changing too much (mostly just renaming boxcovers) and everything seems to run perfectly now. I have no idea what caused so much chaos recently. Could have been because I had the wrong wiiflow to begin with. the only issue I have is still with the Arcades. Do you mind post your plugins for Neo, CPS1. CPS2?

For Neogeo and CPS 1&2 I use FBA 2012 (RA-HEXAECO), but standard Retroarch is equally good. Are you having any issue?

Sorry, I did not read previous post concerning this. mGBA official is top notch for GB-Advance games. The RA core is not up to par when it come to speed/playability vs mGBA. emGBA is my choice regarding GB-Advance, but official mGBA is outstanding. For GB/GBC, RA gambatte core is the very best choice imo, but WiiMednafen plays all 100%. WiiMednafen is a great emulator, but GBA games will struggle & heavy 32 will not load. Poor vgba really is obsolete.

For Neogeo and CPS 1&2 I use FBA 2012 (RA-HEXAECO), but standard Retroarch is equally good. Are you having any issue?

I have not gotten the Arcades working unfortunately. (still kicks me out to the menu) I tried the ones you recomended aswell. could you post your pluginsettings for NeoGeo, CPS1&2?

My plugin settings are exactly the ones that you find in this plugin pack. If you're using it, you're already using all my settings.
If those arcade plugins are not working for you, you are either:
-having some issue with my cfg files. You could try removing all the files in dev:/ROMS/0_HEXAECo_cfg or in dev:/Retroarch
-using a wrong romset. You need FBA 2012 rom set, and not MAME.
-you're missing the temp folder inside the system folder for Retroarch or RA-Hexaeco.

I will try it right away You remember when I tried to replace PCE with Turbografx-16 with the Magic number 4d45434d? It seems that it does not work with the latest plugins/platform.ini (or atleast I get the covers and background to show up as erlier) but as soon as I enter the Source, it says "no plugins selected.". Even tho I already have both 4d45434d for PC Engine (WiiMednafen) and in the Source/console menu.

With all these things it should work

This is strange, I have exactly all these settings and the plugins are still not "linked". Boxcovers, backgrounds etc shows up properly. But each time I enter the consoles/sources, it pops up "no plugins selected."
