Guys, I have the urge to make a back-up of my Office pc's HDD (possibly a 1:1 copy), and it's need to restore it in case if my office PC caught virus or unable to boot OS.

IS THERE ANY GOOD PROGRAM WITH SIMPLE GUI?

A complete 1:1 backup can be done by creating an image of your HDD, you can use various software like Macrium Reflect, Acronis True Image, or EaseUS Todo Backup, all of which are quite easy to use and should be able to create images of your HDD for free (though note that you will need to use that same software to restore the backup). There are more advanced things like Clonezilla (or just using a live Linux USB and dd), but they're not quite as simple as you want.

There's also Windows own backup and restore utility, which can also create a system image. I don't personally use it because I've never had it properly restore something, but it's also an option if you want.


Alternatively, just store all your important things on a cloud service if you want to make sure you never lose them. I use Google Drive's service, anything important is stored and is automatically backed up to your Google account which can be accessed anywhere whenever you want. Google gives you 15GB worth of free space, which should be more than enough for important docs or photos and such.

I'd agree. I've backed up and restored with the built in tool, never had a problem with it. it will only back up what's used, so you don't have to worry about needing space for the unused portion. I have about 200-250GBs for my backup, and I have a ssd, so it takes maybe 30 minutes to restore. I had to restore once after getting a virus that would crash the computer if you tried removing it. it worked brilliantly. I'd advice not having it backup automatically though, in case whatever error you might have later on isn't backed up with it. just back up every month or so.

I turned off restore point on windows 10 ...... because I dont visit porn site on pc anymore .... porn is for phones hehe.

it actually was when downloading ps3tools. I was shuffled through several sites, and the site I ended up at had an exe named ps3tools. opening that is what caused the virus. I have a ps3tools backup on several hdds now. the one I tried installing did not have an icon, the real one does.

yes some rom and hacking site cause the same issue as porn sites.

plz, it's my office PC, I am very serious. i only use wii and psp, for Pr0n.

thanks, i was after 1:1 hdd image, the office PC doesn't have much file and i need it in case the PC goes broken. MY GOAL IS TO BACKUP THE IMPORTANT PROGRAMS which needs very complicated ways to install, that why i seek a 1:1 image copy.
Which one will u recommend me? Macrium Reflect, Acronis True Image, or EaseUS Todo Backup?

Any of them work fine, pick whichever one sounds nice. I personally use Macrium Reflect whenever I make backup images, so I guess that would be my choice

why are you so sure you will get pc virus anyway? hehe maybe old hardware failure.

I'M USING MACRIUM REFLECT RIGHT NOW,
It managed to create a image of disk C which is around 30GB, NOW how do I test it if works?

I would recommend Acronis True Image, a license ain't that expensive, people use Acronis in corporate environment when needed to backup/clone a hdd.

You could just restore the image, or you can mount it using Macrium and check and make sure all the files are there.
