During the current and on-going Tokyo Game Show 2020, Capcom has been releasing new material and trailers for some of their biggest franchises, one of which being Resident Evil.

First, they released a new trailer for their upcoming main Resident Evil title, Resident Evil VIII: Village, and while that was indeed a new and welcomed sight to behold, Capcom also unveiled and announced, through a teaser trailer, that they will also be releasing a completely new CGI series directly to Netflix, with a yet unknown precise month and day, with the only known date of its release being 2021.

The trailer itself features Claire walking down a dark room with a flashlight, slowly panning into what seems to be a dead corpse. Then, the camera switches to a zombie about to attack a yet unknown man, with the zombie being shot by none other than Leon S. Kennedy.

While not much detail is given for what the series plot or story would be, it can be assumed that it will follow down the canon storyline of the games, in a similar matter to what the other CGI Resident Evil movies have done before, being in line with Resident Evil: Degeneration, Resident Evil: Damnation and Resident Evil: Vendetta.

Wasn't this supposed to be Live Action?
It even got it's own Front Page News thread.

Or... is it a whole different one?
I'm unsure if that's even the same series as this one. I think it might be, as apparently that one was gonna focus on the Wesker Children
They could still be working on the separate live action series based on that premise, but tbh I'm glad they're pushing forward with the CGI ones, as I love the heck out of them.

Yes the CGI version looks interesting. Not so long ago, probably half hour ago I saw this same video on Capcom's Twitter account.
That's why it kinda seems like two different versions are being made.

Either way I'm going to see both... if there's actually two versions.

Good Morning.:)

Take the CGI (Software) Stuff from the last Resident Evil Games and make MORE Money with them...
(How was that again with STAR WARS ....?)

This Question is so "overused" but it has still meaningfulness...

Why will a Franchise ever destroyed with "too much".....
Honestly,as Resident Evil Fan,I do not "love" the already released CGI Movies....
I do not really like the Movies....
...and also do not like the Character "Adapations" in the Remakes....

But that is only my Opinion.icecream.gif
..and maybe too old for Resident Evil in the Meantime.....

Thank you.:)
