Hey all of you!
I've gone back around 20 pages, following this topic, and really appreciate the inputs given by modders.
So I just received my SX Core yesterday, and it'll be installed by a friend in a few days.

@Modificatorul your installs are so neat. Do you have a guide that you follow, which you can PM me? I'm asking about the temperature, whether the pads on the flex cable were pre tinned, etc.

Thanks!

anyone has a aliexpress link for sx lite? please reputable sellers and even better if someone bought it too

Have less than 5 posts so can't send pm. Please send by pm and would be able to reply with link to the seller I bought to. Arrived to EU in one week, no customs. Installed and worked. Advise you to buy a digital microscope, flux, good quality soder (0,5 mm) and mx4 thermal paste. It was a 2h30 job for me and must be done with calm. You can follow modzvilleusa guide on youtube

Did mine yesterday (v1 ipatched) and got it working on the first try. What really really helped was using double side tape under the modchip ribbon as STHETIX proposed in his excellent tutorial ( https://www.bitchute.com/video/a48JbatO2sd6/ ). Using that tape holds the ribbon down and those tiny tiny resistors pop out and are a lot easier to solder.

I’m not an expert but that looks like it’s been done by someone riding a galloping horse.

My Switch Lite is arriving tomorrow which was bought off someone who it turned out was a user off here who had someone on here install it a few months ago (small world!)

The installer is that much of a cool guy he even sent me the install pictures from the very Switch Lite I’m buying and I’m happy to say it looks nothing like that...... thankfully. I guess it pays to get an expert to install it.

Installers need to stop advertising on gbatemp. Nintendo have been getting moderators to delete peoples comments. Also, multiple people have already gotten cease and desist letters. I would not trust gbatemp to not hand over personal info to Nintendo.

These type of services does not constitute crime as long as you limit yourself to soldering/modifying hardware. The console is yours and you can solder whatever you want on it. Crime is to use backups of games you don't own. Nintendo is doing it's job protecting its business. The thing is that they do it threatening people but if they go to court there's nothing to rely on...

Anyway installers should also be more discret to not expose themselves and customers here and other forums. You should limit these things to other secure means that currently exist
