Homebrew updating system firmware from 11.13 to latest

i am trying to update my old 3ds on version 11.13.0 to the latest firmware, but when i go to update the firmware, it says an error has occured, and restarts my 3ds, does anyone know how to fix this?

It doesn't need to be plugged in, although it's often recommended.

Although it's probably not responsible for the error, 11.13 is the latest version.

You've probably did something to your system files, so the system is detecting some files are out of date. It's also probably the cause of the error.

I recommend performing a CTRTransfer.

I think the ticket database is in the ctrNAND. did you back it up?

okay, so what can i do?

well, I'm not sure if a ctrNAND transfer overrides the ticket.db. I backed mine up just in case of ever having a problem. there's an app (forgot the name of it) that will rebuild it by scanning installed games. do the games appear red in fbi?

yeah i the tickets appear red, but the titles are green

i did it, and i did update your tickets, but it didnt do anything

they should. they'll appear red if the ticket is missing. afaik, they're bootable through fbi even without a ticket. the ticket is just what makes the game appear from what I remember.
