The crashing doesn't happen often though.
It'll still happen often enough to frustrate me.
v16.1 is perfectly stable and works fine for now, I'll wait for a full fix for the crashing.

Has anyone gotten the NeoDS to work? I'm not sure, but I'm starting to think that the problem is related to the SDHC card (4GB).
Emulator starts, but just after selecting rom, it freezes after the message:

Loading banks into main ram...
-> no banking needed

Edit: I'm using TwilighMenu V16.1.0

Solved! It's necessary to format SD card using FAT32 and 4096 for cluster size

Seems like Professor Layton and the Last Specter (audio crackle with streamed music) is fixed the latest Twilight Menu and AP patching with latest DS-Scene Rom Tool (latest AP database 2.1.5).

I had audio crackle with older Twilight Menu 16.1.0 and DS-Scene Rom Tool (AP database not updated).

I'm unsure if it's the latest Twilight Menu or DS-Scene Rom Tool AP database update that fixed it, I used the same nds-bootstrap 0.35.1 for both setups.

It's TWiLight Menu++ that fixed it, not the ROM tool. Also, TWLMenu++ bundles AP-patches, so you don't need to AP-patch your ROMs.

- DSi XL
- New3DS XL
- R4iTT v1.6 Flashcard
- R4 SDHC Dual Core 2018 Flashcard

All works fine now.
Thank you for the awesome fast, great and still free Support,my Friend.:yay:

A little Addition:

Pokémon White (TID:IRAO) and Black (TID:IRBO) are again not working in the R4 SDHC Dual Core 2018 Flashcard.
It looks like a "funny Joke",every 2nd Update this two Games are always not working.:P

You could try closing and opening the console's lid, and see if that fixes it, as TWiLight Menu++ sometimes gets stuck before booting B4DS.

Not sure if this is where to post but I have a Pokémon black 2 ROM I’m trying to run on my recently hacked 3DS using TWiLight Menu++ but the game runs really slow when it loads in the main menu or anything else for that matter. I’m running the game in DS mode at 133mhz. Any suggestions?

Hello @Robz8
I want to ask, if there's a key combination programmed on TWL that is always active and produces a soft reset... it would be possible to create a key combination to swap screens?
Maybe it's an stupid idea, I don't know how soft reset has been coded...
Thanks!

@Robz8 , hello. AFAIK, almost every game works with nds-bootstrap right now, so I have a question if it is possible to create a "Install&Play" solution for .nds roms for 3DS?
Just .cia install, no additional files on sd card required, everything is included into .cia.

Hi,

I have a question about a DLDI driver for the DSi's internal SD card.

If a homebrew nds file (running from the DSi's SD card) that requires access to the DSi's SD card via DLDI doesn't work using nds-bootstrap with no RAM disk (screen goes white, then the DSi shuts down), but DOES work using a RAM disk, does that just mean that nds-bootstrap's automatic DLDI-patching doesn't work with that homebrew nds file? If so, could nds-bootstrap's DLDI driver be changed/improved to work with such a homebrew nds file?

Another question I have is: would it be possible to manually DLDI-patch such a homebrew nds file with a DLDI driver for the DSI's internal SD card. If so, does anyone know if such a DLDI driver exists?

Thanks,

GentleBen

Hello, I would like to inform that the game Alien: infestation does not work in any of its versions, since at least 3 or 4 updates, it starts well, but after the first credits, the game is on a black screen or, sometimes white screen, before that, this and all their versions worked perfectly.

apart from that, the other games have not given problems, it includes ghost trick and soratorobo (which give hard problems to flashcards) which work surprisingly well :D

I tried it with the latest versions of desmume and no$gba, on a PC, to know that it was not a file problem, and it worked correctly.

just in case, my console is a O2DS :yay3ds: last version of Luma, and this game worked fine, but in some update, I just don't even get to the main menu

but thanks, because the 99% of the other games works fine, even the Game Boy games, and :grog:both, me and my brothers appreciate it

I cannot get the pictochat.nds file by following the wiki here:- https://github.com/DS-Homebrew/TWiL...ownload-Play-and-Pictochat-in-DS-Classic-Menu . I am trying to setup pictochat on my 3DS. Yes I have a DSi also like the wiki says it requires.
Latest version of TwilightMenu++ installed on both DSi and 3DS. I follow the wiki by accessing the DS Classic Menu in TWiLight Menu++ on the DSi. Then I shut down the DSi and put the SD card on my computer. There is no sd:/_nds/pictochat.nds. The file has not been created like the wiki indicates it is.

Also I am trying to change the unlaunch background on my DSi using the patches on TwilightMenu++ but I cannot find instructions on how to do this.

Can anyone give concise instructions on how to get pictochat working on 3DS and how to use the unlaunch patches on TM++ for DSi?

You need the pictochat dsi version and convert it on cia.Its working flawless on my nintendo 3ds old aqua and new2dsxl.
