Hacking Question What do we know about how Game specific bans (2124-4027) are handled by Ninty?

More specifically, How do they get treated by Ninty.

Are they just tied to the console(s) that were affected, or the account(s) of the user who triggered the ban and received an email for it?

And how does Nintendo react when trying the account in question on a fresh clean switch?

to help determine the cause of any bans issued. (looking for people with experience of transferring an account and attempting to play using it, please put in as many details as you can. like what you did after the transfer, if you cleared your data, and anything else as it helps pinpoint the cause of any followup bans.)

Asking because at the moment, I've gotten banned on two switches using the same account. But upon transferring my account to the second switch it let me play the game for a few weeks before my modded save(which at the time wasn't deleted, as it didn't cross my mind) was detected again. and i'm about to get a third switch, and wonder if it's safe to use the same account, although this time with a fresh save file.

Findings: So Nintendo actually flags your account on their servers, according to one source. so best bet is to get a new account and a new switch. I've also noticed that the error code has been changed to 2124-4607.

Quit cheating
I've long quit cheating. I just got re-banned because I used the same save from before, which had unobtainable gear.

and if you're not going to add anything to the thread, please don't say anything.

you're literally in a switch exploits discussions sub, people get banned, it happens.

Quit cheating and u won't get banned
Have I not already stated that I already stopped. The question isn't if i should continue, that's already decided.

It's if Going on a new switch with my old account, and playing a new clean save, without any form of cheats.(which is what I intended on the second switch, but forgot to delete my save data) Will trigger another ban.

The NSO save backup is already cleared too, I still have access to backups in the game, and the game retains some online connectivity, as the current maps and splat fest team can still be chosen along with result announcements of multiplier battles in splat fests. I'm just restricted from entering the matchmaking areas of the game.

Easy; delete your save and start a clean one before you continue playing.

I know that much, but that's still not the question. It's if the ban is tied to my account, as I've gotten an email from Nintendo on the first issuance of the ban(not the second). And wonder if even connecting into a match with the account gets the console flagged, regardless of save data.

The usual "Nintendo Account User Agreement Violation"
"account restricted in: <Game> - <Content>"
"Violation: Cheating/Hacking during online gameplay"
"Restrictions: Etc. Etc. Period:Indefinite"
So get new switch make a new account and buy NSO sub for that account and move on

I don't think you get the purpose of this post. I made the post to deduce the best course of action, with people who have experience with this specific ban type. As I said, If you have nothing to add, please say nothing at all.
I don't know why anyone would cheat. doesn't that sap the fun away?
And the cheating I did wasn't to sap the fun away, I simply wanted to see a few outfit pieces that were in the files. I never actually used them, but they were on my save. I don't think that's ruining the fun of Splatoon 2.

And for anyone planning to reply, please only respond if you have something to contribute, or have been affected by a game specific ban and attempted to play on a new switch. i'm curious if it was successful or not. as that info can help everybody in the future, or at the very least help us understand and document how this ban type works, and what course of action people should take to circumvent. Which could be either, both a new switch and new account, or just a new switch and an extra precaution. (save wipe)
Upon discovery I will add findings onto the Thread starter.

I’m curious, if it’s just a game specific ban, would starting over with a new account on the same Switch work? What happens if you were to sell your Switch - would the next owner be locked out of online only for the games you were banned in?
