Hacking PS4 5.00 driveless (no BD drive)

I bought PS4 Fat with version on firwmare 5.00 (seller cheated me).

I try a lot of expolit without no success.

May be somebody help me: is exploit for 5.00? if it is can i upgrade it to higher version?

Cheated you how, because of the firmware version, or for the lack of BD drive?
That firmware is exploitable so if I'm not mistaken you should be able to get a payload running even without being able to update.
Are you trying all of the 5.05 or 6.72 exploits? Because depending on what payloads you are trying then they won't work as you would need those exact fw versions to run them.

Have you tried running the exploit from "https://cthugha.exploit.menu/" on your ps4, then click the "PS4 (4.55-5.07)" menu and launch the "HEN" payload.
I'm no expert but your console should be able to launch hen from that menu. You can probably then update to 5.05 after enabling hen by using homebrew but not sure.

If you can enable hen that way then just check the tutorial section for how to do all the other stuff.

I already try cthugha.exploit.menu. When i click HEN first time - i've got "memory error", after second - simply nothing, cursor is rolling, and nothing happend (i waited about 5 minutes). I try a couple of times with no success.

Second i try ps4-exploit-host (with local PC) - no success.

When i try x-project (with local pc), i see "strange" status on the page of exploit that console need rebooted, i reboot it a couple of times, but alredy had this status. When i try HEN i had message that scrips is stopped or somethin like this.

X-Project is not made for 5.00.

You need to use AlAzifs payload that work for 4.55-5.07.

I was thinking something was wrong with my bd drive when I activated an old account. no game would work. the two games I had crashed. I should've jotted down the error code and looked it up. anyway, tales of zestiria would crash immediately and star ocean would get to loading, then crash with error codes. reverting back to my new activated account fixed it. I had thought that the install tiles from a retail disc were also tied to account id, but it still err'd when I deleted the title and reinstalled it by inserting the disc. no problems now, but I need to revert back to my old account for my best star ocean save among others. I was thinking about making some tutorials. @KiiWii , love you man, but it's now even easier to mount saves and activate profiles than your tutorials suggest. you don't even have to start a game to mount saves. I wouldn't have been able to anyway due to that error.

If you get error, reboot PlayStation, start again.

Before all using exploit i have a message about certificate, i click for ignore


When i try cthuga otithaqua (with web browser) - only one no memory and second time rolling cursor. Only reboot help me to try another chance

I already try to clear cookies and web data.

After one of reboot ithaqua will give not enough memory after each click, so i try about 50 times, but without no success

Pretty sure Leefuls hosts were for 4.74 and 5.05 and his latest 6.72, so they won’t work on 5.00.

Clear cookies & data, delete bookmarks & history, close browser. Remove usb devices. Reboot console. Use AlAzifs dns, cache, reboot > restart, click 4.xx-5.07, Try hen.

If you get an error, repeat these steps to ensure you’re starting from scratch.

Yes, correct system time might be a factor.

Oof yes you just reminded me that there was a bricking bug in 5.00 if you try to update it without a BD it will brick.

Edit:

IF THE BD IS BROKEN & YOU ARE UNABLE TO UPDATE YOU WILL SEE "E-801809A8" ERROR. (5.00 USERS WILL BRICK TRYING TO UPDATE)

as I have watched video somewhere, people can replace bluray drive without doing anything else (like remarry the drive to board which is not possible atm) if Ps4 is 1200 model.

if your ps4 is 1200 model, you should have a look at bluray drive replacement, they are currently ~ $40 on aliexpress

AlexAltea had released one for 5.00 a couple years back as part of his ps4 emulator so there's at least a payload loader and dumper for it. From there, offsets can be ported over to Hen if they haven't been already.
