thx so much leeful, seems that works, i tested it a bit yesterday, and end with all my savegames wiped out xddd But worked because allowed me to delete that update for the payroom that i was unable to stop these days. Very curious the fact that since that update, my system got tons KP... very suspicious....

Other question i want to ask you is why on 6.72 the current hen is 2.1.3 and not 2.1.4 as on 5.05. Which is the reason for that ?

A There is nothing new in 2.14. The only new thing it contains is a patch for thedarkprogrammers tool which he has never released. (apart from a semi working WIP)
There are also rumours that it corrupts saves, but it doesnt. That was only the very first release. The problems were fixed and updated.

Leeful another today question, this time to report an error on the 'HDD_Upgrade_Restore'.
After perform a restore with it, i obtain double folders on locations in uppercase for 'savedata' and 'savedata_meta' and also for 'user/db'. So by the way i have these folders twice but one is lowcase, the one used by the ps4, and in uppercase, the ones that the ps4 isnt using.
And of course when that happen, the system do not take the changes.

By the same way wanted to ask you about that difference, because certain payloads export the user id in uppercase, but the system use a lowercase names... So which is the correct ?
Please can you check all this issue ?

thx in advance

That's so weird, thanks for reporting it. I've tested it may times and it always worked.
I've tested it with a new physical HDD and transfering from one PS4 to another and it as always worked perfectly.

Did you backup/restore your profile using the official backup/restore in system settings?
Was your profile activated?
Your on 5.05 right. (silly question but I need to ask)
Are the folders in question uppercase or lowercase on the USB?

yes, 5.05 and the backup contains the folders in lowercase. But on that point may be other problem. Because there are folders into with hexadecimal values, not the '1000000' as before. and these numbers and hexa values.... i have no clear if they have to be uppercase or lowercase. It is something that should be controlled on the payloads because, i see these values in foldernames by the two manners.

The backup was made the August 8 so it was the payload in the lastest PS-Phwroar! 1.4. And the backup was made with the 'HDD_Upgrade_backup' payload. Then i changed the HDD, and then i initialized all. On this position i performed the user psn id change with the tools and infos you had the kindness to give, and then i did restore savegames using the system backup for them.

At this point and in the last days i did mess a lot and also todex and things. And by some reason i dont know the savegames were all altered, some of them are on the hdd, but not full files into etc. Also i noticed that the pendrive with the savegames backup performed by the system was also altered by i dont know what, and the savegames are not complete. So at this point, i used the 'HDD_Upgrade_Restore' with the result i said. The twice folders in uppercase, where the system seems to use the lowercase ones.

Of course, and before to use the restore payload, i had to edit folder names into the backup to match current user name.
So i go to guess that the problem may be that because my ps4 have the folders to be restored, just created new uppercase folders... it is a guessing... because... does the payload perform a folders delete before to put new ones ?

If is required, i can paste relevant paths with the anomalies i am pointing....

dont worry, i have all very well backup as you recommended to change the user name and psn ids, etc.

For eveything to work smoothly you must make a backup of your profile using the official backup/restore in sysyem settings.
Then restore that backup to your new hdd/initialised system or other PS4. Then do HDD_upgrade restore payload. It says it in the description of the backup payload.

If you dont do this the internal settings that the profile uses will not be the same, even if you manually change them.

Sorry I don't know what you mean.

To successfully transfer your profile, trophies and save games to an initialized PS4, A new HDD or to another console
you must do the following:

1. Make a backup of your profile using the official Backup app in system settings.

2. Run the 'HDD Upgrade Backup' payload in PS-Phwoar!

3. Initialize, Install a new HDD or go to a different console. Whichever one you are trying to do.

4. On your freshly initialized, new HDD or different console, restore your profile using the official Restore app in system settings.

5. After your console has restored your profile, Install PS-Phwoar! again and run the 'HDD Upgrade Restore' payload.

6. After your console has rebooted your profile, trophies and save games have been restored.

If you do not do this in this order it will not work.
If you have activated your profile or made any other changes during these steps, it will not work.

What does "HDD Upgrade Backup' payload " do?
Does it do the same as "backup" payload on al azif server (ie game saves and trophies)?
And we need a usb drive attached to run this payload?

you confirm this method works so I can transfer all game saves and trophies for one PS4 consoles
running 5.05 to a second ps4 console running 6.72?

^^ Leeful, but your payload 'HDD' peform yes or yes the backup restore, isnt it ? so then what about the twice folders in uppercase ?
Because, the first tried, i did exactly what you said. And see the fact, after the problems on the savegames... i decide to copy by hand all from the 'HDD' payload backup, by hand via ftp. And worked.
Of course with the manual editings for the user name and the numeric + hexadecimal values folders.
So i think that you should check a bit more that payload because something on the procedure seems not ok...

Ive just done it on my 5.05 Pro to test again and make sure and everything restored perfectly as it should.

Made a backup of my profile and settings using the official backup app.
Ran the 'HDD Upgrade Backup' payload in PS-Phwoar!.
Initialized my PS4.
Restored my profile and settings using the official restore app.
Restored all my data using 'HDD Upgrade Restore' payload.
Rebooted and every thing was back and working as it should.

Trophies were restored, Installed Angry Birds Starwars pkg started it and my original save was back and workiing.
All I have to do now is reinstall the large games that I did not include in the backup to save time.

Next I'm gonna port the 'HDD Upgrade Restore' payload to 6.72 to test if restoring from a 5.05 console to a 6.72 console works.
It means I 'm gonna have to initialize yet another console but there is not much on my 672 at the moment so its not that bad.:)

@arfgh in a previos post you said this:

Why did you this with your psn id? and why did you try and restore the saves using the system backup? That is probably why things messed up.

Confirmed!:)
The HDD Upgrade Backup and Restore payloads in PS-Phwaor! also work when transfering all your data from a 5.05 console to a different 6.72 console.

Same procedure,
Make a backup of your profile, settings and/or any games you want to move using the official backup app on 5.05.
Run the 'HDD Upgrade Backup' payload on 5.05.
Restore your 5.05 profile using the official restore app on the 6.72 console.
Run the 'HDD Upgrade Restore' payload on 6.72.
Done. Your profile, trophies and save games are now on your 6.72.

The only thing that did not transfer were the wifi settings. No idea why, they show the same but it would not connect so I had to enter them again.

In the meantime, before I get the 6.72 version of PS-Phwoar! finished, here is the 6.72 payload for 'HDD Upgrade Restore'.

^^ probably i did mess things, but the question persist, because it took all folders and files from the payload backup and moved them all by hand on ftp, and worked. But using the own payload i obtain the twice uppercuse folders. I have seen it.
No, the messing happen because 'ToDex' when i used without care the wipe save data thinking that will affects only to the playroom....

In the meantime, before I get the 6.72 version of PS-Phwoar! finished, here is the 6.72 payload for 'HDD Upgrade Restore'.

Hey can you answer these questions
do we need a separate usb flash drive (ie not the backup hdd) attached to usb port when running 'HDD Upgrade Backup' payload?

also does it do the same thing as the al azif "backup" payload? ie copies DB files, savedata and trophies folder?
Please tell us what folders it is copying?

Remote play is enabled via Hen or Mira.

No you can use the same USB to backup your profile (using the official app) and the 'HDD Upgrade Backup' payload.
AlAzif's backup and restore payloads only restore your databases. It does not restore your Trophies or savedata like this does.

I originally made these payloads to transfer your profile, trophies and savedata if you were upgrading your HDD but it also works if you initialise your PS4 or if you want to transfer everything from one console to another. and with todays test It also works transfering everything from a 5.05 console to a 6.72 console.

Whatever reason you are using this, you MUST backup your profile using the official backup app first. In the official app do not backup your saves, only your profile(which is done by default) your system settings and any games you wan to move (if the USB drive you are using is big enough to fit them on.)

@arfgh earlier you said you restored your saves using the system backup, that might be why you had dupicate folders.
you also said that you activated your profile, that would explain the folders with the hex values.

As well as today I have tested these payloads many times before on the same console, installing a new HDD and to transfer from one console to another and it has always worked as it should transfering the profile, trophies and save games without any problems.

thanks for clarifying..

so do I need to activate my profile on both my PS4s before backup + running the HDD Upgrade Backup and restoring backup + running the "HDD Upgrade Restore" payload?

BTW how do I activate my profile?
and when the profile is activated is it just means we fool the PS4 into thinking the profile has logon to PSN?

Yeah I am mainly interested in transferring game saves + trophies from one PS4 console to another PS4 Pro console.

If it is the same console, we could just run the normal backup payload and FTP transfer over the data (game saves and trophies) back to the console once I restored the backup.

Leeful, remember the instructions you gave, after reinitialize, activate profile with the psn id with the offlineactivator. Just what i did, but anyways, you should check what i am saying, that is, moving by hand all the files, into the HDD payload backup, by hand and via ftp, works. Of course with the pre-edit i said. But this means, that maybe you should perform a new 'more direct' payload to perform this operation.

I have never given those instructios to use if you are using the HDD Upgrade backup restore payloads. Why would I.

If you activate your profile after you initialise, your profile will be different from the backup you made so its obvious that HDD Upgrade restore would not work properly because the internal profile info would be different.

The payload could not be more direct. All it does is automatically copy the backed up folders back to the correct locations on the PS4 just like if you did it manually with FTP.
