Hacking Sx Core and Sx Lite , test Units Received

Hi! I'm on the same boat. I finished installing SX Lite, got the green light, the Boot.dat screen and went on reassembling everything. When I tried it again to go on with SX oS install etc, I got the green led, backlight on, but blank screen. Disassembled again, unplugged chip and my switch booted into OFW. The backlight is on, system sounds are OK (navigating through menus) but the screen remains blank. Unsoldered and cleaned up everything but got the same results.
Any ideas?

you could have done what i did. Got a little bit of solder either on the connector for the lcd or on one of the traces leading to the lcd connector. always check for solder splash

The weird thing is that it worked after finishing all soldering. I'm wondering if putting the metal RF shield over the motherboard caused any short circuit with the (exposed) SX lite. Or maybe I should put some insulating tape below the SX Lite PCB..

Any one have experience with the switch stuck on joycons screen on ofw

The caps beside the sheild are intact, whats the fix or how do i check if they blew up.

I uninstalled the core because it was giving weird stuff like glitching and black screen, and not reading the microsd card.
So i just wanna get it running ofw first then will fresh install using a microscope tommorow

Well my sd reader out of no where decided to smoke,
Changed it with another and booted once, then continous blue screen, left it for 30 mins then it turns on but doesnt get pass the logo
Removed it and still the same, i removing the qsb in an hour and revert everything back to normal and will try tommorow using better tools, but whats your take on this

appologizes for the quality its by my phone zoomed till it cracked

what else can i check like caps around the sd card or what, i have a doner board so i can pretty much take what i want from it

I belive i found a cap shorting from where the nand sits, in my doner its not shorting while on this it is.

I have to desolder the sp1 and 2 and see how it goes, but any ideas would be helpfull as well

First remove nand and see if the short is gone, then whait for micro scope, inspect everyting sd card conector on board and on lego part,inspect nand pcb and conector on mb. and remove first the cap, i think you have a short in 1.8 v rail, ofcourse i can by wrong.

yea its that same weird switch, im sure something shorted after i closed it.
Im getting a microscope today will take photos and hopefully we can figure out whats going on

I would search in this thread to see if the site you ordered from was one of the ones that went away. Also I don't know how long ago you ordered, but it took me over 2 months to get mine. I ordered it in mid May and didn't get it until the end of July.
