This one of the most peaceful times (both war and crime) in human history with the longest life expectancy (give or take the fat bastard epidemic set to pop before long), with a measure of luxury that is beyond that of kings hundreds of years ago and in many ways also the super rich within what is now probably living memory or near enough), wherein given any number of people have the opportunity to pursue their goals, and things look set to improve on all that.
Most kids doing baseline education today will probably have information in their heads that would have made... probably at this point their great grandparents (which may have even been around to meet them) Nobel prize winner.
