Is there a hack out there that allows you to hack your pokeball plus and use it as a traditional controller? At the moment, the ball doesn't show up properly when I connect it to any other device, so it'd be really cool if you could mod the controller to use as an atari one. I'm pretty sure there are ways to reassign your controls on pc, but I have yet to find a suitable hack

The pokeball plus is only meant for Pokemon Let Go Pikachu/Eevee, doesn't work as a traditional pro controller.
Yes, but HACKS. Not necessarily a nintendo controller, just a general controller for, say, an Atari emulator

Maybe in the future, but for now, it doesn't exist, and it doesn't work for non CFW users. I got one sitting around too, have no other purpose beside for the let go games.

It also let's you level up Pokémon on walks on sword and shield, but can't be used as a controller on sword and shield.

I honestly can't see anyone making a hack for this because it's kind of pointless considering most games need more than 2 buttons (3 if you count shaking the pokeball as a button). Even with Atari games, the joycons would be easier to use. If your interested because of the size of the pokeball, then check out the 8bitdo zero 2. Its super tiny and only $20. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B081HNH39K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ZlEjFbGQ7MFSM

However, you can use the pokeball plus without Let's Go open to browse the switch main menu, but I never tried opening a game with it but its worth a try.
1. Open up Let's Go Game
2. Connect the pokeball plus inside of Let's Go
3. Connect a RIGHT joycon or any controller with a home button
4. Close out of Let's Go
5. Turn off the right joycon or controller by pressing the sync button once. Do not disconnect using the switch menu because it will also disconnect your pokeball.
6. Try opening the Atari game or emulator
Let us know if it works so if more people want to do this in the future they will know if it works or not.

Edit: Sorry I didn't realize you wanted to use it on PC. It won't work at all on PC because there is no software to connect it. You can use real Atari joysticks on PC though with this adapter. https://stoneagegamer.com/atari-2600-to-usb-adapter-2-player-retro-bit.html or they have atari controllers you can buy that already have USB.
