Chips Discussion Thread - Which Chips are the best ones?

I personally like Lays, Cheetos, Ruffles, Doritos, etc etc. What are your favorites?

Mainly Lays and Doritos. I'm not really into the rest. My favorite flairs of Lays is the classic one, while my favorite Doritos flair is just Nacho Cheese. Fitting, since I'm a basic bitch.

No joke, a friend once told me that he ate so much Doritos that he became allergic to corn for 6 months. He recovered and can eat anything made out of corn just fine, but needless to say he's a lot more hesitant to eat Doritos.

Ahhh, I see you're a man of culture as well.

I would say that the Atari POKEY soundchip is also a powerhouse of its own, with some nice tuning limitations.

I'll always have a soft spot for the Yamaha chips used for the Mega Drive.

FM synthesis combined to PSG is really damn good.
Too many games suffered from bad poor understanding of the chips, because this machine can produce great sounds, I dare to say even better than the SNES.
