So, this problem has been happening with my homebrewed Wii for the past few months. Whenever I open the homebrew channel, it will either crash the Wii immediately or startup and look like it's loading and connecting to the internet, and then crashes. None of the homebrew channels that I've installed on the home screen load either. I have BootMii installed, not sure if it's on a boot2 though. The SD card is 8GB. The standard functions of the Wii work just fine, I just can't access the homebrew channel or any homebrew apps on the home screen. I'd like to get this fixed as soon as possible so I can have the experience of playing on an original Wii again. :yaywii:

This is what happened this time with the homebrew channel. Sometimes it will just infinitely load.

Does it crash when no sd card or USB hard drive is inserted?

Did u do anything to teh wii prior to experiencing this issue?
I took out the SD card and USB drive on the back and it appears to load fine.

I'm not sure what I installed before on the Wii.

Well your hbc looks to have a custom background... I would try installing the standard official version

If it's loading fine with no media present, try with your sd card but with the apps folder renamed to something different like apps_. If this works, maybe it's a bad app in your apps folder causing the issue and with trial and error you can determine which homebrew specifically is the culprit

it appears the apps folder is a single file on the sd card. ????

I also renamed the apps (file?) to apps_ and it loaded fine

Same here, HBC was erased from data management in wii system,.. installed OHBC wad @Cyan had posted a link to,..HBC loaded once after that, now, every time I hit Start from the forwarder, I see the background and the loading (circle) image of HBC for about 2-3 seconds and DSI error.
