Is there a way to add cheats to gba games for everdrive gba x5 ?

not sure I didn't create these patches but I would assume if you haven't found a solution googling then probably not

the nice thing about these save state patches for GB is looks like you can submit requests for save state for ones that aren't on the github already

...Thats awesome! / love

I’ve been telling everyone on reddit about these for like 2 years now, still everyone seems to go buy the expensive x7 instead of saving a ton of money and adding the feature for free. [emoji2369]

There are still benefits to x7 like save state across the board for GB (as well as GBC, which this does NOT include)... oh and RTC if you're a Pokemon purist. I dont really care about RTC, and I actually like (or at least dont mind) that x3 saves on reset so I can decide if I want to save or not. and not having an in game menu is a plus for me, pressing the button to return to menu is a preferable experience. Plus its a whomping $90 cheaper since X7 is $129 and X3 is on sale for $39, and definitely not $90 better imo.

then again if you have a gba x5 or ez flash omega type, you could always do save state with emulating on goomba for the random one off gbc game to scratch the itch even though not the most ideal vs native play, so yea all the more not $90 better haha

It shouldn't have any effect because AFAIK, Pokemon GBA to DS migration doesn't work with flashcards at all.
Ok thanks for answering.

can I play Pokemon roms with cheats and after I finish with it I transfer it save file to original Pokemon gba game ... to do the migration ? Hehe

Yes! You’ll need a DS with gba slot-2 in order to write the save back to a cart and a homebrew which can dump roms/sram (and also write sram). You can write a save to a real Pokémon cart and then do with it what you wish.

Yeah I realize the save states don’t work with gbc (yet!) the author has expressed interest in adding support for gbc eventually so maybe some day... rtc is a big one I know many are after but there are patches for those games as well. I skipped the x7 since I already own gen2 carts and didn’t need the functionality. But as you mentioned, there are so many ways to get save states for these games in hardware, it makes the x7 a tough sell and the price don’t help!

Yeah I don't see how any one would go x5 to x7 if they don't care about save states,

RTC feature as a EZ Flash Jr selling point to put it 'in between' x5 and x7 feature wise is a silly talking point. id much rather x3 than Jr.

I agree with you there... ez-flash is trash. I’d do anything to avoid them all around lol even missing features x3 is still better than a jr!
