Hello, just trying to get some update
I have never done this before and I have already read some posts that looked like they were in the same situation but I would like to "update" since those posts were made a while ago

Just trying to play with someone, got a cartridge available to play on my sysnand (clean) but played an online backup on my emunand so maybe you had answered the question but I have to ask since I have searched a lot about it and still needs some reassuring : is it still okay to transfer a save from a backup game in emunand, to sysnand ? Even if I never played the game on my sysnand ? Can't they detect the fact that I literally never played the game (at least on my sysnand) and see that I have already a full house with some millions of bells etc ... ? I don't plan to edit my savefile, I only plan to transfer my save whenever I want to play online with that specific person because most of the time I just stick to my emunand offline, so it would sucks to be banned just because I have tried to go online.

Sorry again if the questions has been asked too much, I still did some research about it but idk ... I feel like I had to ask myself just to be sure.

You mean you disabled on the my.nintendo website ? I think I have already did this, idk what they are looking into if you don't disable it tho.
After searching a little bit more, I still don't know if they would ban me because of the playtime difference. There's only one post who refers to transferring a save from emunand to sysnand

Yeah, it's a high chance of being banned. You can mod in SysNand CFW, but you won't have your EmuNAND save. Also it might "dirty" your SysNAND and the next time you go online Nintendo might see that your SysNAND is dirty.

I think there is a way to import custom designs without going online. There's a thread about it somewhere here. You'll have to find it, sorry. I don't really use custom designs.

But does anyone else have tried transfering from emunand to sysnand ? Owning a legit copy on the sysnand of course. I think that's the last thing I know before jumping in (or not).

I didnt transfer from emunand to sysnand for AC, i directly extract, edit and the inject my save in cfw sys.

But i use to do this in pokemon sword, editing on emunand, then transfer to sys nand.

And as for now im not ban.

I've read everywher that "it dirty your nand, yati yati yata" but i have no issue on my end, and if im feeling the need to be "clean" i would restore my clean nand backup.

TBH i have never see anyone being ban from editing save and injecting via checkpoint or jksv to sysnand since im doing it, started since last december.

For telemetry, i disabled it on the ninty website, and also in my switch (never send report option toggle off)

Alright, thanks for your input, still looking for more ACNH related inputs as this is really the online game I am interested about, I've read a lot about Pokemon and I'm pretty much convinced I would do it if I was playing Pokemon, but I see some warnings about ACNH so I'm a little scared ... The key difference here is that you edit your save in sysnand, transfering it in and out, but I'm trying to find out if they have some sort of "save check" where they could see that either the playtime do not match (I guess it could be fixed by idlling in the main menu ? I plan to do that until it's more than 60 hours just like in my emunand) or see that I've started just today and just a few days I'm in a pretty developed island, something that would never happen in a fully legit game. They don't seem to do that on other games but it seems that they are more serious about it with ACNH ... Any info about that is appreciated, I'll keep in touch if I find anything

The guy from Boundary Break played in an island online w/ the camera modifications o_o
And a streamer has started a free villager service w/ people going online with CFW and cheats on to spawn villagers.

No idea what's gonna happen now.
Let's hope July update doesn't ruin the party...

i am still using cheats connected to myself on my unmodded island (animation speed x50), anchpoker (usb) etc etc etc. I know this is all done offline, but still no ban on my legit once i do go online.

there are more and more people doing giveaway / catalog everything islands so I suspect them to get the ban hammer over people who communicated w hacked switches.

I don't think there will be a banhammer, there's too many innocent people; but yes, hackers are generating too much attention lately.
Nintendo still hasn't taken any action, I'm curious to see what they'll do.

I have a hackable switch with clean Sysnand and CFW with Emunand enabled.
I played a lot og ACNH on OFW and the copy of ACNH on CFW on Emunand is no longer interesting for me, it can be deleted.
I plan to edit my ACNH savegame on OFW (sysnand) with NHSE, e.g. for Star Trees and maybe some other items.
1. Is it (quite) safe to go online with an edited save game
2. Can i edit the savegame on OFW/sysnand directly with NHSE (when i boot my CFW on emunand) or what is the best way to do it?

I think Nintendo removed his video too, I say that's definitely not a good sign. (They probably banned him too but I dunno.)

A simple search on youtube shows it's still up:

They would have no real grounds to have it removed. There's nothing illegal about modding your legally acquired game.

Also how would Nintendo magically know what account he is using just based on a youtube video in order to ban him?

My advice would be to turn off all cheats / modifications and get rid of illegal/inconsistent stuff before updating the game on July 3rd, in case you want to stay 100% safe.
Save editing is undetectable now but we don't know what they might add in that update. Nintendo knows too much now : _ :

Just don't have something that seems inconsistent/suspicious or impossible to replicate in the game such as test furniture, star fragment trees or a weirdly edited map. Bells are most likely fine.

- Cheated my ACNH save via tesla overlay and editing via NHSE
