Any update on getting your chip?? Cause mine been sitting at JFK airport (I'm assuming it's there with customs) since the 16th also.
I actually just got an update that it moved to Jamaica, New York. Has anybody else ordered from sxflashcard? Does anyone know how long it took to get it from there?

So, check your local postcode number here: http://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking

Not sure, but it looks like a 3rd party shipper (Pitney Bowes) is in-between Yanwen and USPS. And they have pretty bad reviews online. DHL or FedEx is probably a better choice than the standard shipping.

Ok that's interesting, cause I had that location on my tracking initially and is right near JFK airport which is also I believe is where customs is located in Jamaica NY. Also IfI ordered from sxflashcard. Just curious do you live on the east coast or west?

if you are using SX Core or SX Lite, do NOT use Tinfoil's Incognito feature. This will cause a brick and we're not sure it's even reversable. For those that bricked their units with ChoiDujourNX, sit tight. We have a solution in the works.

Very clear and straight forward SX CORE installation video

Got my chip today.

Looks like v1 is easy enough for me, but v2 seems way trickier.

I think v1 is easier because of its larger pads and wiuthout concerning about touching other capacitors

Why most people use a gel-based flux instead a waterbase like JBC's?

Isn't this suitable?

you need to contact tx switches live chat with your order number or via facebook messenger (thats what i did)
tell them your order details and they will sort you

follow the persons instructions and they will update the order when payment goes through

trust me i did the exact same

the reasoning is most likely to stop them getting paypal banned again

I messaged, emailed and tried to live chat them 3 days ago and I have yet to hear any response. Granted I know this is for an SX Lite but still...has anyone had better luck??

I used a water based flux. Chemtronics do a “no clean” flux pen which you press down on to dispense. Brilliant stuff and best suited for SMD soldering.

Despite the no clean claim, the solder I used contained flux too so to clean that off the board, I used Electrolubes Fluxclene. Great stuff and quick drying too. Not conductive and quick drying! Used this also to clean off thermal paste.

Correct, but 4 are tiny enough that'll be easy to bridge and make ya desoldier 4 times over

A shop with the word mods at the end of their name doesnt install mod chips, go figure
Happend the same to me , with do all kinf od repairs on all consoles even mod xbox . Do you Install sx core or lite ??? NOPE

with the lite you have more solder points but it literally pads to pads you align them and apply solder its actually easier than the smds lol

im annoyed that i found better solder in my stash that looks way cleaner than my initial install.
not touching my board as it works fine
just means everyone else i do the job for has a better application than me T_T

I think most guys who could do that are still afraid to mod the console, because it is something new. I found out a lot about unlocking Nintendo 3ds(and nintendo switch) with the local Pokémon Community(I'm from Asunción, Paraguay), since having competitive pokemons quickly requires having an unlocked console(most of the time). Maybe if you could contact them, they might help you out.
