Hacking Ez-Flash Jr. RTC don't work if the cartridge is not played.

Hi everyone, I have the Ez-Flash Junior but the RTC don't run if the cartridge is out of the Game Boy, only runs if I'm playing... It's normal?

I tested with the testflight and the latest stable release and didn't work...

Edit: I guess the battery is working because the "Auto save" option is checked...

My RTC bounces all over the place no matter what firmware or pokemon version im using. They say RTC is stable in 1.04 for pokemon, but their is no way that is true unless they sold me a defective unit.

I probably imagine this.
For example, you insert the card into the console, turn it on, and enter the SET page, you will see that the time is 14:00, then you shut down, wait for 20 minutes, and then turn on to enter the SET page, it still displays 14:00 or 14:01, and Not the expected 14:20?

While I have the console ON with the card inserted the time runs ok, (if I set in 14:00 and i play 10 minutes the time is 14:10), then I turn off the console, the next power ON shows 14:10 regardless of the time that has passed.

The Battery i guess It's OK, the Auto save option is checked.

There should be a problem with the crystal oscillator or the RTC chip, please contact the dealer to replace it with a new one.

Ok, although I do not expect a good feedback from the seller, I bought it in January but I have noticed the problem now.

If i get receive a negative response from the seller, could I have any alternative?

If you bought the card from the dealer in the official dealer list. I think there will not have "a negative response from the seller".

If the seller wont help you at all, you can either live without the RTC or try to fix the card yourself by desoldering and replacing the crystal oscillator component, but that would obviously void your warranty and you should know how to solder SMD components (or find someone who does).

Update, not problem of the crystal quartz, the battery, two month later shows the Battery Dry message every time, i bought a new battery and all works perfectly!

The stages of the dry battery error:
1: Didn't work the RTC with the console off
2: Reset the RTC every time if the console starts
3: Battery Dry error every time
