Recently i was going back to the 3DS to play some games. But then a thought came into my mind: "I can use Unity to make 3DS games, what if i port one of them?"

So i wanted to ask, what game would you most likely want to be ported to the 3DS? And yes i know it's 2020, but i wanted to see if anybody wan'ts to see a game on this device.

Keep in mind that if you want to reply and select a game, please add a game that the 3DS can handle. I'm using Unity 5.6 i believe.

Best regards and stay safe,
"hat"

im not sure if it would be possible but cuphead on 3ds would honestly be amazing, and you could just downscale all the textures, but i am not an expert with the 3ds hardware so i do know if it would actually be possible, but it would definetly be cool

It would be amazing, but the game itself is over 1Gb. Not sure if i can.

Not familiar with Unity so I don't know what it can or can't do, but one of my wishes for the 3DS would be a Grim Fandango port. I read there was an attempt but it did not come to fruition apparently. Would it be technically possible?

I have other requests, but I don't know if it fits what you suggest : I'd love an Amstrad CPC emulator, or actual ports of specific games. Someone did Rick Dangerous and it's very good. I'd love Barbarian with multiplayer feature (you gotta have dreams!)

I would say start small with golf story or the messenger. hollow knight would be nice but that game ran even bad on my computer at release.

Would be glad any game from 1 person with 3D stereo effect. Or something like Skyrim Unity Project and Mario Galaxy Unity Project

according to this list games based of unity (PC ports)and considering the limitations of the (N)3DS
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Unity_games
Here are some inspirations

Enter the Gungeon
Night in the Wood
Double Dragon IV
Hollow Knight
Cuphead
The Messenger
Strafe (low poly 3D FPS)
Return of Obra Dinn
Dusk (really good new old school FPS)
Bendy and the Inkmachine
Katamari Demacy Reroll
Untitled Gose Game
Firewatch
Poi (Platformer)
Tesla Effect A tex Murphey Adventure
Armikrog

I would love these getting ported
Return of Obra Dinn
Enter the Gundeon
Night in the Wood
Dusk
Katamari
Untitled Goose Game
The Messenger

Android only Unity games
Layton Brothers Mystery Room
Monument Valley 1 & 2

there are many 3ds games above 1GB.
Why would this be a surprise at all? Better gaming means better graphics. higher res. more detail. More Data used. There are games that top 3gb and some that nearly cap out the FAT32 format nearly 4gb.

I second the Amstrad CPC idea. A fresh Doom port (with a good frontend) would also be nice.

+1 for Doom with the added possibility to use more wads and local multiplayer (call me greedy!)

Slightly out of topic, but to answer the CPC request you mentioned, I looked around this afternoon and found a CPC emulator for the NDS called "crocods". I've been trying it with some of my favourites : it is not perfect but it is a must try with TWilight Menu++

If it was really that easy, why do you think the Internet isn't already flooded with bad 3DS ports of old games?

Half-life or portal (the first one) would be cool. Is that too crazy?
There are already 3DS ports of those games. I think they were made using the original source code, without Unity.

Likewise, a Wolf3D port that has decent audio and controls would be sweet too. Best way I've found to play it on the 3DS is the SNES port and that one is far inferior to the Atari Jaguar, 3DO, or the original PC version.
