Gaming My DSi XL won't power on after tear down. Blinking charger led

Hi guys! I had yesterday cleaned my nintendo dsi xl and mostly i wanted to clean the right and the left shoulder buttons. I did that in the first place and then i turned on my dsi xl. Then it powered on completely good and i checked them. One didnt work and then i teard it down again to reclean it but after that i cant power it on. When i put it to charge it has the charger icon blinking and it is not a battery problem as i have tested the battery in other dsi xl’s and it works completely fine. Can you help me?

UPDATE: I have also tested the screens and reseated them completely everything seems fine but it doesnt boot.

Try reconnecting the power cable from the power board (the one with the white connector and red and black wires), the blinking charging LED happens when there is no battery connected
If that doesn't work then look at that cable to make sure it isn't damaged anywhere and also try cleaning the contacts for the battery

I did it and its good connected. Also as i said i have tried cleaning the battery and tested to other dsi's and it fully works. The dsi stopped to power on after i cleaned it 2nd time.( i cleaned only the right and left shoulder buttons)

I had checked that and its good connected. Its the second time that i cleaned the ds and suddenly that happened. The first time nothing bad happened and it booted nicely. I dont know what else to do. As i said i had checked the battery with other dsi's and it worked nicely.

If you have another DSi XL then maybe try swapping the power board with another working DSi to see if anything there is causing the problem?

I had only dsi not dsi xl but the battery works normal in dsi

Oh okay, if you have a multimeter/continuity checker then check if there's continuity between the battery contacts and the power connector on the motherboard but if you don't then I don't know what you can do

i Dont sadly . I will try borrow one and try out but what should i test? i mean i will touch the battery to test it with the power board but where?

Just swap the power board and try putting a battery in normally

i cant because its a dsi and a dsi xl. I think the board must be from dsi xl to dsi xl. Im not sure about that tho correct me if im wrong

Happened to me this exact same issue.
Apparently there's a small fuse that kind of stops working all of sudden.
If I recall corerctly is the one called: R20

Let me double check that.

Yeah replace the power board with another DSi XL power board

I don't know if this is the actual "fix" to this problem, but I believe it's the probable cause.
I can't tell you if this works because I never bothered looking for such a small piece.
I turned that DS Lite into a Gameboy Advance... in other words, I just took of the top screen and now that DS boots into GBA Mode.

So did you just add the wire and sold it down like the video i saw?

I do remember doing the wire thing with no actual positive result.
Maybe you can try it and see if that works for you. To be honest, my soldering skills weren't that good back then, and my soldering gun has a very broad tip, which is hard to control with such small pieces.

Well it seems your don't have much of experience with circuit boards so I would recommend you to be safe and don't try anything your are not familiar.
Second the video is not for old dsi, is for the very old DS PHAT. After that there's DS LITE. And after the regular DSi and yours it's DSi XL.
Which means 3 models later which may have many variation on circuit board.

You should try before doing anything it's check for any loose or broken cable connections.
Check the gray and black wires on the left side. One is for the wireless board and if I recall if not connected prevents ds from turn on.
the red and black power cables in the right.
and the 2 flat cables also in the right.

Better be safe than sorry or you may just brick your device for good.
If it doesn't work take it to a repair shop would be the safest move.

(I'm French, sorry for my English. Please let me know if I made any grammar mistake.) Noob here, but I have the exact same problem as you (except that it did that after trying to fix my cameras [and cleaning the L&R buttons]). I still have to check with a multimeter (or maybe try with a new powerboard) but it might come from the fuse the battery is connected to, where it is seated.
