With Activision sending out teasers in the form of puzzle pieces related to the Crash Bandicoot series recently, it was only a matter of time before the cat, or rather, bandicoot was out of the bag. The Taiwanese Ratings Board has just confirmed that a new Crash Bandicoot game is on the way, thanks to a listing that went live perhaps a little too early. The listing even includes official boxart for the game, which is titled Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, which will be releasing on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the latter stating that it'll be playable on the Xbox Series X. You can read the official description, below. Developer Toys For Bob, who worked on both the Spyro and Crash remasters, are on board for this project.

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

Nice! Maybe they present some of the other characters (as Crunch) in this game and make a new canon.
Also even if they don't say in the PS4 box it's compatible with PS5, didn't some developers said that Sony make them use the latest versions of the dev kits and libraries to make sure the las ps4 games are fully compatible with ps5? Maybe it's just that Microsoft wanna put that string in any new art for One, but Sony didn't ask for it in their boxes...

I see no reason why the PS4 version won't play on the PS5. Sony did say the overwhelming majority of the 4,000+ PS4 titles will be compatible. They also stated that every PS4 game after July 13th is required to be able to run on the PS5 from the get go.

What if I'm selling my PS4 Pro to help fund a PS5 shortly before the PS5 is released? What would I play it on then? Or all of my other PS4 games for that matter. The only reason to keep a PS4 would be if you want to hook it up in a different room. Then you could also play all of your PS4 games in both rooms. Or... you know... maybe some people never had a PS4 but they're getting a PS5.

lol you are entlitled to do what you want and we are also entitle to do what we want, by not playing if playing ps4 games on ps5 get them enhanced why not? i never bough ps4 pro so getting the ps5 to play 4k enhanced ps4 games like it was on the pro is great for me, same way i got a phat ps3 it plays all ps1,ps2 and ps3 games, why would i dig out my ps1 and ps2 from the closet when i can use ps3 bt controllers, emulated memory cards and hd and smooth enhanced? sometimes is much better to play older games on updated consoles.
