My Nintendo switch won't charge, won't power on, tried different adapter, removed the battery, forced shut down etc... I tried all known solutions, i think it's a hardware problem !

Your battery might have died with AutoRCM installed, perhaps because you left the system in RCM. Do the following:
If your console can still accept payloads...

  1. Press the Power button once
  2. Press and hold the Power button for 12 seconds
  3. Press the Power button once
  4. Connect it to your computer via USB
  5. Send Hekate as a payload
  6. Choose the "Power Off" function
  7. DO NOT unplug your console from this point as now your console will normally recharge. It should gain enough charge to boot up into CFW/OFW in about 10-15 minutes. It should also be noted that this method is the only way to charge the console while keeping it off as trying to charge it in any other scenario will turn on the Switch.

If your console cannot accept payloads...

  1. Press the Power button once
  2. Press and hold the Power button for 12 seconds
  3. Either plug the Switch into your computer via USB or the dock while the dock is connected to the charger
  4. Wait about 30 minutes to an hour
  5. Try sending a payload such as Hekate. If it succeeds, use Hekate's "Power Off" function and keep the console plugged in so it can continue charging at a faster rate. If the payload did not work, try charging the console for longer or charge it elsewhere

sounds like what happened to me. mine was still under warranty though thankfully. Nintendo said the NAND got corrupted or fried, so I lost everything.

Just one info, the console battery was 89% i put it on the dock, it didn't connect to the tv, kept going on & off, so i removed it, then tried to power on & all the afforentionned solutions, nothing happened, i think the damage was already done when in docked mode !

are you using tegrarcm ? make sure tegra detects the switch if not, eiter is dead or is not on rcm mode.
Didn't try on pc, i only tried with rcm loader, does it make a difference ?

the nintendo logo would sometimes come on, but it was almost always nothing. if the nintendo logo came on, it would turn off immediately. this was with a stock system btw. just throwing that out there if you've tried all known solutions.

actually, that was over a year ago. I got a refurbished system back as it was still under warranty. it's exploitable, but I haven't done anything to it. you'd probably have to buy a broken motherboard or switch to get the NAND chip, but it may not be worth the expense especially if you don't even know what's wrong with it.

How did you find out that it was caused by these parts?

There were shorts somewhere around these parts?

I am having the same issue, no power charging(just normal aroung .4-.5).

I didn't, the repair guy did, but there are some videos on youtube, if you have the technical skills and the spare parts, you can do it by yourself

I have this exact same problem. Last night my switch was doing fine. Today I wanted to downgrade the firmware and tried to turn it on. With or without sd card it won't turn on anymore or even charge. If I place it in the dock I can see the green light for like 1 split second and then it turns off again.

TegraRCMgui does detect my switch. However, when I try to launch hekate I still get a black screen. I have left it in the charger for like 3 hours now and still without any results.

Any advice?

I also tried to hold down the + button and hold the power button for 15 seconds (hard reset) but unfortunately without results.. again

Update:

So I connected it again to my pc and one thing that immediatly catched my eye is that the hekate bin file was not at the drive it actually should be. the drive didn't have the hekate file, it was located on my other drive.

I can't launch the OFW like you should be able to. Once I hit the power button it doesn't launch the nintendo official firmware. does that mean that my drive on my nintendo switch is corrupted? if so, is there a way to restore it?
