TX releases SX OS v3.0.0 beta, introduces SX Core and Lite support plus bug fixes

SXOS300BETA.png

After a long wait, the official release of SX OS v3.0.0 is here to enjoy! Supporting all Switch consoles, it's great for those waiting for their pre-ordered modchips. For those running unpatched consoles this new update also brings a few long-awaited bug fixes, including the broken cheat finder and the game crashes on Switch firmware 10.

You can find the full update below.
It has come to our attention some people didn't take the Non Disclosure Agreement we (did not ;-)) make them sign too seriously. Thus, we are releasing SX OS v3.0.0 beta to the public today.

We would (again) strongly suggest *not* to use any builds of SX OS that were not distributed by us (This includes private links that do point to our servers, for what it's worth). It could pose a risk to your hardware and data and creates a potential support nightmare for us. Thank you for your understanding.

Let's not waste any more time and have a look at the changelog for SX OS v3.0.0:
  • Full support for Mariko and Switch Lite consoles.
That's right, SX OS now supports 100% of all consoles manufactured to date.
  • Support for SX Core and SX Lite boot methods.
With SX Core and SX Lite arriving to the mainstream audience soon, we want to make sure you can actually use your product when it arrives to your doorstep. We would like to remind you every SX Core and SX Lite comes with a *free* license for SX OS. No need to pick up a license key separately. Just activate your product like you normally would. (Through our website or using the SX OS menu)
  • Support for systems with a larger NAND
Die hard Switch modders who have installed a larger NAND storage in their switches are now actually able to use it with SX OS. (Previously it would hang during boot)
  • Fixed error 2162-0002 game crashes
We introduced a regression in SX OS 2.9.5 which made some games crash with error code 2162-0002 (when accessing in game manuals and such). This has been addressed and resolved.
  • Fix bug with displaying MAIN memory addresses in cheat finder
We had a little regression in the cheatfinder a while ago that slipped past our QA somehow. All you cheat hunters can rejoice, this has been fixed!
There's many under the hood changes we won't bore you with, if you encounter any issues do not hesitate to let us know!

That's all we have in store for you today. We are happy to see our new products are being embraced by a wild variety of entities worldwide. We promised a solution for the unliberated Switch consoles, and we are the first to deliver one. Keep this in mind when you vouch for any derivative works, and have a good night!
Are you eagerly waiting for the SX Core and Lite to release? Are there any hot issues you're still waiting for a fix on? Let us know!

Does the first hackable switchs worth more money then the one who need hard mods ?

Yes they are rare and the other ones are common they are worth more "ONLY" if you know about the hacking scene. The other units (as of today) can be modded but it will require $$$ to open them up and get chips soldered inside.

They have done it in the past, they are going to do it again

Again it's not my switch, so do as you please :P

Yes but this is old info since SXOS Dongle if you tried to reverse engineer the software they have a kill switch so the modchips would have one aswell. I support them fully for this don't poke your nose where it doesn't belong and you would be fine. Maybe Nintendo should follow suit if they don't want their stuff to be reversed engineered.

2 years later, could you tell me how many switches have been bricked by sx os?

Anyway, dont know the purpose of your post, its off topic and you clearly are not interested in sx os, other CFW threads are over there >>>

Exosphere got removed, and a lot of stuff is broken currently. Layeredfs doesn't work, so no game mods. Certain homebrew and sysmodules are broken too.

Anyone else tested if XCI's now work online?
No they still freeze. This is something that will never be fixed it’s not sxos at fault it’s an extra layered check Nintendo servers do that was implemented in 9x firmware when online is activated which an xci backup cannot pass this is why the freeze happens, the online server checks every game and this is why all xci back ups freeze and when you turn stealth mode on they do not because the check cannot get through you will notice also if you download an illegal nsp install it and try and connect online it will show a server problem acting very similar to the xci backup not letting you access online. Your only option is to buy & use legit online titles that are worth purchasing and playing and there’s not that many in the Nintendo library, this is what I did in the end it’s the only way to access online features within a game in cfw.

This update is a step backwards, because the warmboot feature is no longer available for unpatched units.

By this I mean for example the Payload Launcher tool, which can be used to boot from SX OS to another CFW or other Payload (Hekate, Lockpick_RCM etc.) out of the CFW.

If you want to use AMS & SX OS together, this is absolutely necessary to be able to switch comfortably between both CFWs.

with 10.0.4 and SX 3.0, can't launch trials of mana. Maybe it's me, I never launched it before. Can someone else try too ?

I think I messed up, didn't want to turn off the console so I connected the console to the pc, started the mtp app and changed the boot file from there.
SX gave me an error and I lost everything on the emunand even the saves :(

No way to get them back?

+1 here

Was a customers switch and bricked with TX. Not their brick code your specifically talking about but thier faulty update (Forgot exact # but there are threads on this). I update all My TX switches with Atmosphere now then revert back to TX after updating = 0 bricks and almost 2k mods done.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though

@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.

Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
