Hardware What should I buy for streaming and Emulation?

My GPU is Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 3GB (I would buy a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 11GB)

an my current CPU is a Intel Core i5-7400

Ram: 12 GB

System is Win 10 Home 64 bit

My Plan is to buy a better GPU but should I buy a better CPU?

What do you plan to emulate?
If it is going to be PS1, 16 bit and older then most things will do that (most things that are 10 years old or more will probably also do just fine too). Newer stuff warrants more stuff obviously, though again maybe not that much depending upon what you want -- tippy top end PS2, PS3, xbox and even some Wii forks doing fun things can tax things but many other things of around that time or newer if a handheld can also be fairly sedate.

Streaming wise if you are getting ready to pay up why not get a splitter and pipe out the HDMI from your machine to that and do the video stuff in a separate computer or separate box? No overhead that way.

I'm already using a Game Capture HD 60 S but the software in it isn't good than the GPU from the PC

I have a i5 7600k with a GTX1050Ti, and was easily able to play BoTW at 900p.

The only viable upgrade path without a complete overhaul would be to upgrade the cpu to a 7700k and a gpu of your choice that fits your budget.

Your specs seem simalar to my G3... You can play almost everything except for next gen games emulation and streaming should be fine on your current PC.

Do you mean a i5 or a i7 7700k? The i7 7700k costs for me around 339,99€ and the GPU which you're using costs around 140€. But I would buy a GPU where I'm good to go for several years. And a GTX 1080 Ti should be a good choice (350€) so I split it to 2 Months to have all the items. The Rams shouldn't be more I think

Yes for GTA V or other Open World-Games is it good enough but I'm still lagging on Pubg and cant even play the current CoD title. I'm still in struggle to play Botw on my pc because I want to feel this "above 30 fps" gameplay on myself. It's hard to describe what I'm into in

Try and get the i7 7700k used, it shouldn't cost you more than 100-120 usd. Else you might was well upgrade your whole platform to AMD for price-performance.

alright thank you for your hint! Nahh I got in the past bad experience with AMD Cards (I had Radeon HD cards)

I was specifically talking about the cpus. But AMD gpus have also caught on.
A 7700K+GTX1080 should serve you for emulation pretty well.

Emulation is most of it single threated, and one of the best processors with single threating is the ryzen 5 3600 (not very expensive). i have a ryzen 5 on my laptop and wii u emulation runs perfectly and switch emulation struggles but only because i don't have enough ram
