I was able to get Retroarch on my Switch and I have a lot of ROMs. I tried playing a Gamecube game but the game lags a LOT. Can someone give me their preferred settings for Retroarch so the game won't lag, please?
No, gc games don't (and most probably won't) run great at all, play em on pc or android phone or gc itself..I was able to get Retroarch on my Switch and I have a lot of ROMs. I tried playing a Gamecube game but the game lags a LOT. I don't want to open up a can of worms, but just sharing the knowledge:
It is not perfect yet, but you can squeeze out a bit more performance for gamecube emulation if you run L4T-ubuntu or Android on your switch.
using those operating systems, you can also do things like gamestream over to the switch (stream the gamecube game from a PC to the switch through wifi).
These scenarios are not ideal or 100% perfect, but I just wanted to share so you at least know about them.
The dream one day will be to be able to play them "flawlessly" in retroarch in horizonOS (the switch's OS) somehow.
yeah, its still not full speed (esp bad when using assists, without assists its decent, you can even pull out some nice combos)I hate to rain on your parade, but considering that the Switch is running a Tegra X1, and that the SHIELD'S performance with Dolphin is slow as shit without resorting to some older build, I'd say that DC is really the practical ceiling of what the Switch can be capable of on a consistent basis...when developed far enough.
Is MVC2 still slow on HorizonArch?
