Hacking How do you add Cheats Onto the R4 for DS

Okay this is a very ignorant question, but i have an R4i for the 3ds and it of course works to use ds games, and get them for free and it works perfectly on my 3ds. Thing is that..since the release date of the r4 3ds i completely forgot how to add cheat codes onto the thing o n o". I used to know how but now i don't, i was wondering if anyone remembers on how to add cheats onto the r4 for my ds games to have them. Thanks for reading!

If using Wood r4:

• Download this https://gbatemp.net/threads/deadskullzjrs-flashcart-cheat-databases.488711/
• Extract Usrcheat.dat
• Copy Usrcheat.dat to the flashcart _rpg/cheats folder
• Done

After that just press 'Y' while selecting a game and 'X' for cheats.
Hope that helps, this is for wood, don't know how it works for other menus.

Usrcheat.dat works on every DS flashcart we have today, I have other formats included just in case other people have older flashcarts that use more obscure databases.

You are probably in 100 Discord servers, thus why the invite doesn't work. It didn't expire so there shouldn't be a reason for it to go invalid. "7zxa.dll" Uh what?? That isn't even included with anything, reinstall 7zip, sounds like it just crapped itself somehow.

Hello.

You have to move the USRCHEAT.DAT to the "cheats" folder of the _rpg Folder.
And you maybe also have to turn on "Cheat In Game (AR) ON" in the Settings.

When I download the file it is names as deadskullzjr.s.cheat.databases.v2.3.0.7z do you mean that file or is there a separate file called usrcheat.dat?

When you unpack the Package there is the File "USRCHEAT.DAT" inside.
This one please.

You can use the Winrar or maybe better the 7z Programm.
Please note,that you choose the correct Version for your Windows (32/64 Bit)

Download YSMenu and set it up:

Stick the usrcheat.dat in the TTMenu folder. That's all there is to it. Once you load the kernel on the DS, just tap the + icon and you'll access the cheats.

Hallo i have a r4 revolution for ds firmware version 1.16 when I place the cheats.dat in my systemen folder i still dont have another option to enable cheats with Y.

Can someone help?

I think it should be called usrcheat.dat, not cheats.dat? Also, do the cheats for the games you want to play actually exist in the cheats database? (If you're playing a modified game like a ROMhack or translation patch they probably won't be recognized so you'll have to add it manually.)
