[STEALING THIS INFORMATION]
A store owner in Malasia just found that all of his leather products have grom some kind of fungi due the recent Coronavirus lockdown. He posted pictures on his Facebook account:

With the doors closed, Leather products needs the lack of proper fresh air and a humidity of 70% to start developing Fungi and other bacteria growth.

If you really think about it... the last thing that ever touched these products before lock down, were humans themselves.
My idea is that this is not only Leather Fungi... but Bacteria Cultives transmitted by human hand touch.

Yes I might've clicked accidentally while posting this.
I swear I was using the General Off Topic forum.

I'm having Internet connection problems. While not an excuse I should double check next time.

Regarding to the topic... Found the pictures curious to look at.

We all do mistakes. Hopefully a mod will just move it. :)

Anyway, for the topic: There are rumors that the air conditioner was shut off which could cause conditions perfectly for funghis. Also as they say on the picture: Many possible reasons (yes, you're right: Human infection beeing one of them), needs investigation.

I have seen this before on other things but never to this sort of scale.

"the last thing that ever touched these products before lock down, were humans themselves."
You would surely be seeing other patterns if they were the main culprits. Most of that is even growth, no concentrations or absences around points of handling.

I wonder how many other little incidents like this have happened over the course of things as people fail to ensure continuity.

I mean, is not like all hands hold everything at the exact same points. So yeah, my hypotesis is that this is actually because everyone's grabbing the stuff and what not.

Has 0 to do with "humans touching stuff", it's because the store turned off all air conditioning for months so no air was circulating. And, because Malaysia is a very hot and very humid country, mold grew on anything it was capable of growing on. Cuz, y'know, mold absolutely thrives in hot and humid locations.

Purely a fuckup by management trying to save some cash, has nothing to do with "ew gross humans grabbing everything!"

EW PLEASE DON'T TOUCH ME.
Like I literally don't like people touching me.
Question.
How do you react/deal with pain?

But they will. People will by default pick things up by the handles, by the straps, by the corners, support things from below.
The items in that picture are often reasonably heavy to be held by fingers alone in normal people, and even if you are strong enough you will probably still support them to be able to manipulate them.

I would not doubt for a moment that one or more or those was brought in carried by someone, rather than being there from the farm/factory. However that could be anything from breath, hair, clothes, snot, incidental contact of items other than hands and hands themselves.
Some of those do look like fungi I have seen from badly stored leather and other materials but most of my knowledge on fungi is for wood (I don't like my buildings/sheds/ramps to fall over or kill someone's lungs) and walking (I like to know what ones are good to eat, eat in combination* or use against my enemies).

*see inky caps, aka drinker's bane, mushrooms for a fun one there.

Crying, I think / Depression.
Fair enough.
It is more that there are some people that respond poorly to gentle touch but don't really care about pain, possibly as some kind of reverse sensory wiring. Going by some of your previous posts there were some indicators as to your pain perception/tolerance. If you had that miswire you can do something to work around that.

However if you are just going to be being a garden variety germophobe then eh, though I would still suggest sorting that out (those whose immune systems don't know how to fight will generally find them unable to fight when it actually matters, that and cleaning chemicals kill your cells almost as well as they kill germs, viruses and other things you don't really want colonising you).

Not a germophobe.
I can stand some kind of "dirtyness"
Is just that when I was little, my mom used to cover me with lots and lots of corporal cream. Half hour later I was sweating and sticky with a nice aroma. I hate it it, and I immediately would wash it off my face and hands.
That happened for many years in my childhood. So I sort of got (very) used to wash my hands very often. Not kidding you, but before the Covid-19 pandemic, I used to wash my hands every hour or so.
I can't stand sweat on my hands or sticky fingers, or anything like that.
And well... no I mean, I don't feel pain when people touch me... I just dont like people, thats all.

That sounds like classic germophobe to me.
