Mother series to get manga anthology titled "Pollyanna"

Just as promised, publisher Hobonichi has elaborated a bit more on their plans for the Mother Project, a new venture that would see the release of franchise-related merchandise. A Japanese trailer revealed the newly-announced Pollyanna anthology comic, which is a collection of short, unrelated stories set in the Mother universe, each drawn by different artists. 35 different illustrators will be working on the manga, including Undertale creator Toby Fox, as well as manga artist Keiichi Arawi known for creating Nichijou, and Mother 3 art director Nobuhiro Imagawa all listed within the credits. Pre-orders for the manga will go live on June 12th exclusively on the Hobonichi store, with general pre-orders to open up for other retailers on June 25th. No English release has been confirmed yet. The trailer ends on a teaser of "to be continued", implying there's still more news to be revealed.

Well ok then, but why "pollyanna"
If you're asking because you don't know what that is, https://earthbound.fandom.com/wiki/Pollyanna
If you're asking because you know what it is, but don't know why it's the title of the series, if they're a collection of short stories from across the series, why not name it after something that connects, or is at least involved in each game in the series?

Oooooh, didn't know that pollyanna was the name of the song, I was wondering why not simply call it mother, ok this makes sense

Also someone translated the trailer

I'm just gonna have to wait for this to release in English where is mother 3 :(
so nintendo refuses to port the trilogy and yet makes a manga... who knows meh.
Nintendo doesn't completely own the mother IP, but Itoi doesn't really feel like making another game, so idk if remakes are even possible.

Every one interested has been on the train for doing everything we can to get Nintendo to officially translate Mother 3, including me. However, I've recently hopped off. It's been so long that I think any one still interested has already played (and in some cases, like mine, won it multiple times) the fan translation. While it would be cool to see an official translation, there are two options:

- Translate it themselves with official employees. Problem is the traditional style of translating Nintendo would do means we would see potentially unnecessary censorship, and/or culturally appropriate changes in imagery and dialogue.
- Use what's already available, which isn't censored and is faithful in being a pure translation. But if they do this, and almost every one has played this... why would Nintendo even need to do this?
