SX Core and SX Lite being shipped to reviewers and testers, retail packaging revealed

SXCoreSXLite.png

TX have today announced they have shipped out samples of both their SX Core and SX Lite modchips to the previously selected reviewers and testers.[prebreak][/prebreak]
  • SX Core is compatible with all Switch regular models, whether they are Mariko, patched or unpatched.
  • SX Lite is for all Switch Lite.
  • All firmwares are supported for both regular and lite versions.
  • SX OS license is included with both models.
As we indicated before, both products require soldering. With the help of that large panel of reviewers, we will finetune installation diagrams, correct any bug they might encounter so you have a great experience with our product from day 1.

We are proud of the hard work behind these products and we also can't wait to ship to retailers so all Team Xecuter supporters can enjoy a fully unlocked Switch regardless of the model they have.

If you can solder, we recommend placing your preorder now as demand will be massive (but don't worry, just for May we have already large stocks ready to ship).

If you are not comfortable with soldering, please wait for a installer near you to receive stocks so he can install it for you. Installers will also offer pre-installed consoles so you have all ready at once if you do not own a Switch yet.
Unfortunately for the less experienced modders, some soldering will be required, but we should hopefully have more information as reviewers and testers receive their samples. Until then, TX reminds you to stay safe and get ready to enjoy, releasing some exciting pictures of the retail packaging!

That's not good at all! Your right, he usually responds to messages very quickly I do know this virus is quite rampant at the moment around the Midlands/West Midlands area I do hope he's ok and not fallen ill. I think that's great for your concern, it's nice when we show concern for one another especially locals like ourselves. You will have to let me know if you here anything?

Yes of course mate, will do for sure.

Any more technical details released? I'd love to know how brick proof this is. Does it glitch the boot loader or the boot rom because if it's the former then it would mean downgrading to an older version of hos which requires fewer e-fuses will brick you. Either way I'm probably picking one of these up if Nintendo hasn't lost my switch during the RMA process.

Edit: I'd also really like to know if you need to reball the nand on the Switch lite but I guess we'll find that out as soon as testers get theirs.
There is no point to downgrading if you use a hardware exploit that can't be patched by an update (assuming this is the case but we don't know anything for sure yet)
But the best course of action is going to be using an emuNAND just as with any other exploit method. And with that there are no issues with downgrading.

You may need to restore a nand back up for some reason and if the nand is on a older firmware with less fuses that would be a problem if the chip glitches the boot loader after the fuse check. It would also be very easy for malware to brick you by just wiping out the boot loader where as if it attacks the boot rom it won't be a problem.

Don't run RCM payloads you don't trust, and only use CFW in emuNAND, that should go without saying. As long as those rules are followed, your sysNAND is safe.

As for me it will be hard to send you my switch and chip to USA and you to send me it back soldered , so I will try to find someone in Russia who can handle it. But for others ( who live in USA ) it is lucky to have you :)
If you by any chance from eastern side of Moscow region - i can do it for you. In the past i have successfully soldered chips on ps2 and xbox 360. I did bios mod and ide mod on sega dreamcast. And now i am ready to install this modchip on my switch.
Otherwise i can help you with advice. It`s not that hard as you think. You just need a little bit of practice.

Trust is a funny concept in this scene. I often see people saying not to trust this or that application, it's closed source, don't rust the author, etc... But then if you ask them what to run they tell you to download some random zip.

The bottom line is we should take a NAND backup before starting, and then pull a fresh one before running anything new.

why not just use the mod chip created by the company that developed it rather then get a cheap knock off? A team did a bunch of hard work and they don’t deserve anything for it?
1) It's usually way cheaper
2) Some people still have bad impression from TX's less than favorable actions in the past
3) Most of those will be used to pirate games anyway, so there's not much concern for ethical side of things overall.

Thanks dude but I have decided that I will try to solder it myself ( otherwise I will never learn how to solder ) :) . But thanks anyway!

Ok, do as you wish. Just get an old pc motherboard, good flux gel (keller TT is my choice) and good tin solder. And try yourself as much as you like. You will learn in no time. Just remember - do not use soldering acid and clean the soldering area with alcohol before and after.
You can PM me if you have questions.
