ok. because this error came 2 days after i installes cbhc and block dns. the last question which is not clear to me, when i use nnu patcher to get updates from the game directly or install dlcs from eshop which i bought, what will haben to the failed system update which is blocked by dns? will it be still blocked, and the game updates or dlc installed, or will be the system menu update also be downloaded and installed?

Nothing happens then. You download the game update or dlc. The system update is blocked.

If i set a parental lock would that protect my Wii U from someone accidentally formatting it or removing my user profile? Haven't really messed with it so I'm not sure if it's a global setting or I can pick which options get protected.

No. This will brick your console xD
The only thing which you can select is installing cbhc. No hbl or something like this. And formatting your console makes no sense because you don't have any homebrew access after formatting

formating the console without removing cbhc already bricks the console, doesnt matter if you choose any option.

You're forgetting there are no such options to choose, the available options are install CBHC or do not install CBHC.

Apologies if this has been covered but I have a system update downloading and I'm confused as to how after using this method last year!

My wii u hasn't been online since modding it but thought I would try some ftp-ing however, once connected it starts downloading this update.

The only info is 'system update' but I cannot remember which FW version I was on before installing cbhc. Is there a way to come out of cfw to check and if anyone knows, did the last update released by N mess with cbhc? Can I safely let it install?

Download the latest firmware version. If you have an european console, you have to reinstall cbhc after the updating process.

Thanks for that Alex! Yeah its European console.... Scottish in my case, it swears alot!!

Do i have to uninstall cbhc first or just reinstall after? Seem to remember reading something about that but may be confused..... (that happens alot!!!)

No. Just download the firmwareupdate and then reinstall cbhc. The reinstalling step is only for european consoles.

Hello, regarding the version 99.99.99 shown by CBHC on the Wii U, instead of the official version (this time 5.5.3), how can I know that my Wii U was updated to the latest version 5.5.3 because apparently it did it at some point without me realizing it, since when I try to update manually it tells me that I already have the latest version, however, in the system I notice that 99.99.99 continues to appear, is there some way that reflects the current version of my Wii U or any app that allows me to confirm it?

mocha will tell you which software version you're on. I think you might still be spoofed, it just doesn't display it.

5.5.3 is the latest version for us consoles. There is no reason to update. Use a dns blocker and you're fine.

It stays on 99.99.99E/U/J. This is firmware spoofing. As long as you only use cbhc, you can't change it. Hope that answers your question.
