Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath brings fresh blood and friendship to the game

WB Games gave Mortal Kombat 11 fans some serious love today, dropping a new trailer outlining some major updates to the fighting game's latest installment. The big news is the official reveal of Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath, a major DLC expansion for the game. Aftermath will bring a new narrative to the table, along with three characters: series veterans Fujin and Sheeva, and surprise guest fighter RoboCop, voiced by Peter Weller himself. The game will also be getting a free update adding new stages, stage fatalities, and friendships to the game on the same day. Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath will be available digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on May 26th, and will cost $39.99.

Friendships are back? Now people can do that instead of killing each other and putting it on youtube to get demonetized for blood. :P

You'd think content creators would've got fed up with YT's BS and moved to another platform like Mixer, Bitchute, or anywhere else that's supposedly more "free" after all the BS at this point.

I guess, but most people built up a audience on youtube and gotten used to it. They may find it easier to adapt than just switch to something else and have to learn their game all over from the beginning. Besides, Youtube is more popular so it's hard to find something else as a threat until it starts to make a name for itself.

I don't know honestly, I'm not a content creator. But I rather not see black and white monochrome edits to a video just because they want money for the videos they make. But I also don't blame them if content creation is how they earn a living. :ninja:

It's either that, or D'Vorah or Reptile being on the receiving end of that shit!

Well that's why I was happy to see friendships return. Lol, it's just fun to see. Plus is a sign of respect for the losing player, kinda like showing the respect of skill for how they play or something. Probably would be nice if other fighting games could have some kind of "Emote" function at the end of a match to convey opinions about the match. Fatalities and friendships are something like emoting a player. "Sending a message" in the sense of trash talking. :P

Nudity!? Where!? I didn't see any! And if there was any, then, to quote a certain teased character: "You're under arrest!"

totally agreed. mk9 was good, mk x was crap and this is even worse. no wonder they put robocop. the animatiosn are already stiff and "robot" like so no big issue there

I have MKX on the PS4 and MK11 on the switch (bought games no bootleg) I refuse to buy DLC these characters and stuff should be updated for free. Maybe I'm old school but MK Deception for the PS2 you had a decent story mode and you umm UNLOCK YOUR CHARACTERS NOT BUY THEM!!! Idk why this is the new trend it kinda kills the purpose.

Do better MK. Who is going to spend additonal $60 on Kombat ($20) and Aftermath ($40) might as well wait for the deluxe version of the game that will have all the characters in it. Also throw in Micheal Myers , Freddy Kruger and Jason they would be perfect for this game

That's why I dont feel sorry when people bootleg the DLC for free because not all DLC is good DLC.

Yeah...no. I'll take 2.5D MK over slow-wannabe-Tekken-and-Soulcalibur-ripoff MK any day of the week regardless of the pricing. And while I agree that things should all be available at launch, at the same time, MK and Injustice has been offering more value at launch than some other fighting games have recently *coughs in SFV at launch and most ArcSys games before Xrd Rev going to Xrd Rev 2, as well as Tekken 7*.

maybe someone already said this, but the game is on sale on the eshop for like $23.99. I bought the rest of the dlc. the game comes in at like $150-$200 for game and all dlc. that's a ton of dlc. I haven't even really played the game much either.
