Despite pivotal events of The Last of Us Part II leaked recently, Naughty Dog is building anticipation around the game prior to its release with a brand-new story trailer. The new footage sets the dark and gritty atmosphere of the sequel which follows a grown-up Ellie's quest for revenge:

After a vicious and violent event disrupts the relative peace that Ellie has found in Jackson, she sets out to bring justice to those responsible. As she hunts them down one by one, she is confronted with the devastating physical and emotional repercussions of her actions.

The Last of Us Part II launches exclusively on the PS4 on June 19th, 2020.

Funny how they disabled commenting and liking on the trailer...

As a youtuber myself I can tell you that they can still see the amount of likes and dislikes internally, so you should leave your choice anyway.

Back on topic, this just adds more salt to the wound, it confirms that this ended to be just an entire movie about an immature teenager seeking revenge killing everyone because wman are strong too. Oh, and funny how zombies never got an appearance in the trailer lol. Tf are they thinking?

This reminds me like the Walking dead Season 7 with the Saviors lol I wont get it at full price but $30 on black Friday I'll pick it up

9.1 metacritic USER reviews - so mayb you need to play the game again

This is kinda a movie game I didn't beat the first one yet but from I remember it was kinda like Beyond 2 Souls but with more movement.

At the end of the day, people will still buy it and a lot of them will still eat it up with glee. Just watch, it will still get a 9/10 on big reviewer sites. I personally don't care as I never played the first one, but if Pokemon "boycotts" have taught me anything, it's that despite leaked info that works against the game's reputation, the normy gamer will still buy it and will still probably love it.

I reckon comments were disabled to prevent more people from being spoiled by shitheads. Turning off the like/dislike bar reeks of damage control though.

Like Beyond 2 Souls? LMAO, I played that game and it is like the slowest thing ever to play. TLOU is story game but it also focuses on action unlike Beyond. People still play the multiplayer on the game. If people are comparing the game to Beyond, they clearly haven't played the game or haven't increased the difficulty if it was too easy. I haven't seen the leaks because I loved the first game and don't want to spoil it so I won't make opinions on that yet. I played the first one for the sole reason that it came with my PS4 without knowing reviews about it and I don't even like thrillers but it became my favorite game after finishing it.

I played TLOU on PS3 I still haven't finished the game but I did see similarities with Beyond 2 Souls. Half of the time you are watching a cutscene and half of the time you play that's what I mean it's a movie game. I never played LA Noir or Detroit but it's in a category of a movie game.

Never said either game was bad I liked them both but I feel movie games shouldn't be full price at $60.

I'm sorry if I came off as attacking you, I just got dissapointed that people think the game is like TellTale games or Beyond when it really isn't. I enjoyed Beyond as a story but the actually gameplay is really clunky and limited. The beginning of TLOS is a bit movie like to establish characters but after that its mostly gameplay with story. Especially on the grounded difficulty, the game can feel like an actual zombie apocalypse thriller with very limited health and resources. Think Uncharted but with a more serious and realistic story (imagine that), and more in-depth gameplay mechanics.

TLOU is narrative heavy and does have cinematic elements but I wouldn't lump it in with Quantum Dream games. It's got full fledged gameplay systems and plenty of action. It's more akin to Metal Gear than Beyond Two Souls. I think it's hella overrated but it's still a good game.
