The Mother franchise is getting something new, according to a Japanese teaser. Announced by franchise creator Shigesato Itoi is the "Hobonichi Mother Project", which involves the release of a book that will contain the script and dialogue from all three Mother titles. The book is planned for launch sometime before the end of 2020. That's not all though, as a trailer from publishing company Hobonichi also teases other "various goods and merchandise" related to the Mother series, to be announced at a later date.

Something like what we got with Collection of Mana not necessarily remaking the games but at least bringing the 3rd game in the series being what is now known as trials of mana to the west in english would be amazing. I know people who would kill for mother 3 to officially come west. also considering the fact that neither earthbound nor earthbound beginnings have come to the snes or nes online app respectivly it would make sense that this would be what is stopping that.

This is just Nintendo trying to see if there is enough interest in the series by going of on sales numbers instead of choosing something like a poll or something like that. Because well, when does Nintendo ever do things properly that doesn't result in profit and free ? Nintendo hasn't been taken gambles for a while now hence why we don't see new titles releasing anymore like metroid and all have been one remake and port after the other. They've been recycling for a while now to see what sticks and if it does, they'll do a new game. Animal crossing is a good example of that by releasing pocket camp first to see how the response was. Nintendo how they used to be, would take gambles and not rely on constant profit. The good old days

Anyone that's ever played Mother 3 should know why it won't ever get an official localisation. It's a great game but I'm glad it was never butchered by localisation, they'd have to censor a lot of it
