PlayStation's Play At Home initiative lets users keep Uncharted and Journey for free

With the record amount of gamers stuck at home, PlayStation is ready to help out, by offering two games to PS4 users for free. Both Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey will be free to download and play for a limited time as part of the Play At Home initiative. The best part, is that you get to keep the games, too, permanently. Be sure to grab both games from the PlayStation Store starting on April 15th, or until the promotion ends, on May 5th. That isn't the only thing that PlayStation is doing, either, as the Play At Home initiative also means Sony will be donating $10 million dollars to indie game developers that are struggling as a result of COVID-19.

This sure is nice of Sony. Beats the hell out of anything Xbox is doing for their consumer base lol

Bro Xbox is so much better when it comes to getting free games. Sony didn't really give anything if you have PS Plus they already gave those games away. Uncharted this year and Journey like 4 years ago... this was mainly why I moved over to Xbox in the first place because Sony "thinks" they are doing something for you when they aren't. Lots of PS4 owners feel the same way I do... just look at the offical Sony boards.

Xbox has game pass and it is way better than PS Now. The only thing Sony has going for themselves is the remote play. I own PS4 and Xbox One

GamePass is indeed better than PS Now. I'm not a regular subscriber to GamePass, but when I am I love it.

I should've clarified in my original post. It sure beats the hell out of anything Xbox is doing for their consumers during the pandemic. For them, it's business as usual, you get "free" games if you're a subscriber. For people with a PS4, Sony just offered two games with no strings attached, based on the press release.

I'm not saying Microsoft needs to give away free games just because the world is in chaos. That'd be silly. But this is a good move from Sony.

Trust me I totally understand you but for the vast majority they either bought this or got it for free on PS Plus service . Maybe they should have just gave PS Now for free for 2 months or PS Plus for free for 2 months and extended PS Now or PS Plus for the current users for 2 months during the pandemic. To me that's very beneficial and no gamer would complain about that. Xbox didn't give us anything that is true. I know the thought that counts but the game selection wasn't good selection.
