hi, I know im new to this but I have been hacking my Wii for a while now with wads and what not to play games but I recently installed the cios using d2x cios installer and then when I was done tried to use USB loader gx my USB is set to the right format and the only game on it is the super smash bros brawl for the Wii I got the iso file from the web because I don't have the game that's why I tried to get USB loader gx in the first place but when I press start on the game it has a black screen for about 4 seconds then goes back to the homebrew menu what do I do to fix this? I'll post the SysCheck under this.

you know, I'm sleeping at 3 AM.
bumping the thread will not help get an answer quicker :P
(and I didn't even get the notification, I just found your thread by browsing the forum's..... ART STUDIO section???)
I'll move it to Wii section.

In most probable order:
You probably plugged the drive in the wrong USB Port.
or you use a flashdrive instead of HDD (which are often not compatible, so the console can't find the game once launched, and exit/reboot)
or you found a bad ISO (yes there are a few bad around for that game).

The games are working fine with your 64GB flashdrive?
you are lucky :)

as for that duplicated game list, someone else reported the problem, and I really don't know what causes it.
I didn't know "switching" the layout and coming back was enough to fix it.

I also had report that r1272 has issue when dumping games to usb (the interface freezes, but the dumping process still continues in the background).
Maybe 1272 has more memory issue than I thought.
I'd recommend you try with r1271 and see if that bug is fixed or not.
Please report so I'll know :)

ok that version did kind of work like the games did not duplicate but when I went to the view to download the cover art I would press download then it would say missing image file then I would get out of it and it would say missing file images/2D then I would try to press the will menu button then it said missing images/2D then it would freeze and show nothing and I could not do anything so I powered the Wii off and tried 3 more times the same thing, I downloaded that version again the same thing so I just put the version I started with back on my sd card

Thank you.:)

Maybe your USBLoader GX Config/Settings Files are not ok.:(
You can try to
- delete it (please make a Backup before !!)
(SD Card:\apps\usbloader_gx -> GXGlobal.cfg and maybe also "TitlesCache.bin"
or
- reset the USBLoader GX Settings.
(Settings -> "Default Settings").

Did you have your Covers stored in the Default Folders or did you maybe changed the Path ?

Good Luck.
Thank you.:)

the loaders are only 3 files :
boot.dol, icon.png and meta.xml
all other files are auto-generated or downloaded by the USBLoader.

hey after days of trying to find out what went wrong this may sound stupid but my sd card was locked like u know how some sd cards have a little switch ya mine was on lock and ya it’s fixed with the version you recommended thx

thank you for reporting that.
so the loader not being able to save the settings (at game launches it save any changes settings) then it probably crashed/waited for that access and never launched the game. I didn't remember it was returning back to menu in that case though.
maybe the time it tried and waited to access the SD, the USB shutdown and when it stopped trying to access the SD it failed finding USB in time so reboots? (speculation)

I should try to remember about locked SD for next user with blackscreen or reboot issues.

Are you really asking a moderator (or former one) how and where to download pirated games?
Didn't you read the forum rules and answered you agreed to never ask for ROM, ISO, WAD, WBFS, GAMES and illegal files?
Asking can get you suspended or banned.

if your ISO/wbfs is bad, dump it again.
if your wbfs is not working with wiibackupmanager, use wit/wwt instead.
if you want to get games illegally, you are on your own !
