Hacking [RELEASE] PS-Phwoar! Exploit Host Menu For PS4 Firmware 5.05

That's funny, I've been using the workaround as my standard method without even knowing you had a better chainloaded version in there. I'm not sure if I should feel like a genius or an idiot.

Both methods work, Its just quicker to use SaveMounter+FTP in PS-Phwoar!.

Run SaveMounter+FTP on PS4
Click Connect on SaveMounter PC app
Open FTP client on PC

VS

Run Bin Loader payload on PS4
Click Send Payload on SaveMounter PC APP
Exit browser on PS4
Open browser on PS4
Run FTP payload on PS4
Click Connect on SaveMounter PC app
Open FTP client on PC

Obviously the current payload in PS-Phwoar! is broken at the moment (credit to @huggybear69 for repoting this problem)
So for the time being you will have to use the fixed USB installer version of PS-Phwaor! I posted earlier, or continue to use the workaround method until I officially release the fix.

Indeed, just found it amusing that I was already accidentally using the workaround method when the better method was broken Thanks for explaining though, should help others.

I just tried savemounter and the my FTP client would not connect for me either.

I don't know whats going on, It worked fine for me originally. I too am using a recently activated profile.

I'll look into it some more and try and find out what the issue is.

I also tested chainloading (not exactly like yours) in my menu: I tested it on a PS4 Pro, certainly twenty times, always OK! Then test on another PS4 and another, chainloading hangs... Then I tested with a new account, worked! Thought it was the debug payload, all other Quickhen payloads worked for me. But I see it was something else, hope I can take over the fix then? Thanks for your work!

There is no fix needed. Nothing is broken. Also leeful.github.io/usb is online and working fine.

Are you sure you are typing the correct address in the PS4 browser.? Can you access google in your PS4 browser?

Install PS-Phwaor! in 3 steps:

1. Set your PS4's primary DNS setting to 165.227.83.145 or 192.241.221.79 (this will protect you from sony updates)
2. Put the PS-Phwoar.USB file on a exfat or fat32 formatted USB drive.
3. Go to leeful.github.io/usb in your PS4 Browser.

Done!

Could you list a couple of advantages of using PS-Phwoar (installing and going through these 3 steps you mentioned) over the regular HEN stuff? I have a HEN webpage offline cached and I just got to it, activate it; voila! Start playing games.

Sorry if this is dumb. I appreciate all your efforts!

You can use FTP and all of the other payloads to do various things with your PS4.

If you only ever run backup games and your happy with what you have you might as well stick with that unless you want to try something new.

No problem, we were all a newbie once.

PS-Phwoar! has a lot more options but in the end if all you want to do is play backups every host menu out there has HEN and thats all you need to play your backups.

It's all down to personal preference which menu people use. If you are happy with what you use and it works for what you need stick with it.

If you ever fancy a change and want to try something new there are a lot of good an reliable exploit menu's out there to try.
In the end they all do basically the same thing but some have more options than others.

There is PS-Phwoar!, X-Project, my original Leeful Host menu, Al-Azif Host menu, Retrogamer74's host menu and many more out there.
