Hacking Question Mariko revision (XKJ, XKW) - preinstalled FW info?

My serial starts with XKJ4, so a patched/unpatched list is pointless, however I'd like to know if there is a list of what Mariko serials come with what FW preinstalled.
I cannot check as my brother upgraded the FW to 9.1.0, so I'd like to know if I got it on 4.1.0 (hackable FW).

Neither does any Mariko unit come with a firmware as low as 4.1 nor is any Mariko unit currently hackable in any way.
You have to wait for the SX solution.

but it s said to be super easy to install.
so i m guessing it will be either non soldered or just some easy to solder dots ...

but who knows? it will be seen soon enough

The only one who said its super easy is TX. And they require their testers to have soldering skills. I wouldn't wait on them if you are shy about the soldering iron, just sell/return your unit and get an unpatched one in that case.

The lowest firmware that a retail Mariko console can possibly ship with is 7.0.1, and 8.0.x will eventually get software hax that theoretically can allow for almost full CFW.
If you get one on 8.1.0 or higher, as the others have said, you’ll need Gateway’s (TX) modchip whenever it releases.

Not currently.
But in the distant future you’ll be able to install partial CFW.
There’s also that modchip that might be releasing soon.
