Hey,

So with Pokemon home releasing recently, I thought about the possibility of downloading a USUM save with all the possible pokemon on it, sending the pokemon to Bank, then home and SwSH.
I took the plunge from emunand to CFW on my 3DS today so have I have PKSM and etc. installed on it now.

My question is.. should I do that and would I risk a ban doing that?

I wanted to use the USUM save here:
https://projectpokemon.org/home/fil...n-saves-with-every-legal-species/?changelog=0

Looking at the save through PKHeX, they all appear legit, but I don't know if I should go through the effort of renaming the Trainer names and PID/SID/TID, etc., which seems to cause some pokemon to have issues doing that.

Any help/guidance would appreciated!

Thanks

If you add the legit pokemon and make your player the original trainer (TID & SID), it's going to flag them.

Use RNGReporter for the PID once you've changed everything and it should go back to being "legit".

It's worth making the changes because there is a higher chance of Nintendo detecting the imported pokemon if multiple people are using them (and I'd bet a lot of people don't go through the effort).

Do you actually have any idea how the legal checker works with the game? What you listed just sounds wrong.

I did not have a single issue with bank/home/sw/sh tranfering my genned pokes. I changed everything on them OT/SID/TID/ SKills etc nothing is flagged and never used RNGReporter and they also are tradeable

I must not then if it sounds wrong!

I had a few genned pokemon on some older games (i.e. shiny Rayquaza on Ruby) and using the latest PKHeX, it flags them as non-legit due to the PID not matching the SID & TID.

Reading through a few forum posts it seemed like using RNGReporter would fix the issue whilst allowing them to keep my SID & TID.

After a bit of messing around, the modified pokemon now shows as legit and coming from my OT.

I wasn't saying that he wouldn't be able to trade them at this stage, but I've seen multiple people comment on the fact that using the same archive of legit pokemon on multiple consoles may be flagged in the future (If two people are online battling with the same pokemon which has the same SID, TID & PID - it's something that Nintendo could identify).

I did not have a single issue with bank/home/sw/sh tranfering my genned pokes. I changed everything on them OT/SID/TID/ SKills etc nothing is flagged and never used RNGReporter and they also are tradeable

I haven't had trouble in the past, I just noticed when editing certain pokemon - they would be marked as illegal when changing the TID & SID or the IV values - the error stated that the PID did not match; the forums pointed me to RNGReporter which fixed the problem.

Thanks for the posts guys! I'm still a bit lost on where to start though.
So currently I dont have a pokemon save with my own TID/SID, I was just planning to use a save to export to Sw/Sh.

Should I be wanting to change the SID/TID/PID for all the pokemon? And what should I do with current handler and original handler IDs? I noticed changing the pikachus with hats makes them invalid for instance.

Appreciate the help, thanks!

Go with what the other guys have said, as they're probably more experienced than me!

In my situation, I specifically wanted to keep my legit pokemon but just have a few of them shiny - as well as generating a few new pokes for my existing saves.

I am still stuck with this. If I downloaded a save, what areall the fields I should be editing. The pokemon are all already listed as legal, I'm more concerned with changing the language/console region and trainer/IDs to on linked to me. Problem I am noticing though is my TID/SID cannot be entered for some pokemon, seemingly because older gen pokemon don't use the same length codes as later ones?

Any help appreciated, thanks!

I cannot get PKhex to work on my Mac at all so I cannot just download the simple here’s all the files copy and paste and save to your save file. I thought the exact same thing is there just a ultra sun or ultra moon save file with everything in it? That way I can load it dump it to bank import to home then delete the saved File and copy it back and do it again?
